Solid refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went refrigerator shopping when my fridge stopped running. Found this one at the local furniture and appliance store. It was just what I wanted, side by side, stainless, 27 cubic feet, and no ice maker. The deciding factor was the 10 year warranty on the compressor. Placing and leveling and setting the temperature is very simple and quick. Getting the doors in alignment was a bit of a challenge, took a little more time than a new refrigerator should take. So far it's performance is great, and I will not have to deal with a failing ice maker.

Perfect buy for our targeted needs

It does a terrific job with very simple controls and has the interior lighting/ shelving/ bins that make it a great unit. With the potential for supply chain issues or grocery prices skyrocketing being able to stock up when we can made this a perfect buy.

We would like 1 more shelf on the fridge side.

I was tired of having to throw ice away because it made more than needed, and took up space that could be used for food. I looked for the best fridge without icemaker online and the Maytag was rated in the top 5. I loved it from the start but the wife wasn't sure. She doesn't do change well. After a month she now loves it as much as I do.
