I had bought this 2 yrs ago n still working. I was skeptical about it. I’m glad I bought it. Yes, instructions don’t help you. Know I understand about the water drainage n place a big bucket for water drainage.

Works great!
This is wonderful! Used it all last summer and using again now this year. I set it up on a small table and vent it out the window. I have a bucket behind the table so no one sees it and run the water tube right into the bucket to empty out the water this thing pulls out of the room when it’s humid. It really works great.

Great buy!
We purchased this unit after our HVAC was stolen from our backyard with the hopes that it would at best keep the living room cool during the hot days, but we were surprised that the unit keeps the entire house cool and comfortable

Shocked at how well it works!
Summer in Mississippi is brutal. Having an air conditioner is a must. Well, our AC unit went out. Not having the money to repair it, we needed a temporary replacement. We found this Midea portable AC. Since I had not heard of a portable AC before, I was sure it was not going to work. We decided to give it a try anyway, and prayed it would work. Well, prayers answered. We placed it in the bedroom and after just a few minutes, we were loving this Midea portable AC. Thank God and thank Midea. It does what it says does. Now If we can get a couple more of these, we can make it through the summer.

Good little A/C
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My father-in-law's central air went out. I used this at his home while waiting for his new central system installation. This unit worked out great! It has a small form factor but puts out enough cold air to easily cool off his primary bedroom. I like that the remote has a digital display that shows the set temperature. The air filter is easy to access and easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this unit to someone in need.

Easy to Set Up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My house gets really hot in the summer and doesn't have AC. I have used fans before but they don't help that much. I got this Midea Portable Air Conditioner and it has made a huge difference. It was easy to set up and install. I put it in my living room since that is where we spend most of the time. It provides nice, cool air and keeps us comfortable.

Great cooling
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation on the 5,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner was fairly easy. I installed this through one of my windows in my dining room and it works great. Low noise and cools our kitchen and living room. I normally keep my air on 78 during the day but with this cooling the room for my dogs it will feel very comfortable. I wouldn't say its cold cold but it does cool pretty well.

This Is A Game Changer

This is a great portable AC

I live in a small house in Southern California where we don't need AC most of the year, however when we do it gets miserable for a couple weeks in late summer. Although it's still early in the season this AC I ran it for one afternoon on dry mode to try it out. In that time it pulled a full gallon of water out of the air! If for no other reason than as a dehumidifier, this is an incredible piece of equipment. I also have a U shaped window unit from Midea which I prefer for the space savings and ease of installation, but for a portable unit where you may want to move it from room to room this is good. I do with there were an internal reservoir for the condensate. The air duct to the outside is well built, but because of that it's a little clunky. Additionally I wish that the window insert itself were insulated and even with a cover of some kind for when the duct is being stored my window isn't open to the environment. But for a traditional portable AC this is a top notch one.

Very cool! Literally!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the 5,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner free from Midea for my review, and I couldn't be happier with it! Not only does it effectively cool my son's room that gets full afternoon sun, but it's also incredibly easy to set up and operate. He loves the remote so he can control it from his desk or his bed without having to go across the room. Its compact size makes it perfect for smaller spaces, and I appreciate the energy efficiency. Overall, I highly recommend this portable AC unit for anyone looking to stay cool and comfortable during the hot summer months. We get some pretty humid days here when nothing works to cool the house down so I'm interested to see how it'll do during those days with the dehumidifier feature.

Amazing Air Conditioner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks Midea for the free 5,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner. This portable air conditioner was super easy to set up and install for a beginner like me. We set it up in our garage and it provided a noticeably cooler temperature very quickly. I love the ease of use and the fact it is 3 in 1. The fan and dehumidifier functions are such a great addition. It is also really nice to have on wheels and I can move it easily to a different location. Overall I really love this product and would recommend it.

Cold and compact!

It was easy to set up and works well against Louisiana spring afternoons. I'm curious to see how well it works when temps get to 110 here with humidity. Right now I think it's perfect for our space.

Great Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As long as set up is done correctly, this does blow cold air. Make sure the hose is connected well and clean filters often. The hose can be a pain to connect but I used aluminum tape to reinforce which makes it less likely to disconnect. That being said, it does cool a small room down and works well. These pain points are with portable a/c units in general.

Another plus is that it fits just about any window opening, vertical or horizontal and it's on wheels so moving it around to get that cool air flow wherever you want is a breeze! (No pun intended lol). It does make a little bit of a humming white noise sound but what powerful AC doesn't? The sound actually helps me sleep like a baby to be honest. The only complaint I can come up with is that after running it for a long period of time, it does leak sometimes. Not exactly sure why or if that's normal but I don't care, still a great, powerful air conditioner, especially to be so compact!

Works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a small but seemingly powerful portable air conditioner. When it is being used in room where the door can be shut and your just cooling 1 room it worked great, but in a more drafty room with less closure it didn't make the room as cold, but it still cooled it down a little.
