If drain is not between washer and dryer, it is a challenge to get hoses to reach, because dryer also has a drain hose. Wish i had bought stack kit instead so both drain hoses would easily reach drain. Over priced for what it is, a metal drawer.

Will the Miele TwinDos detergent bottles fit upright inside the drawer without interfering with it closing?

No, you need to place them horizontally. It does look and feel premium and it saves your back from bending. If you get the washer and dryer get the maintenance plan, as repairs would be costly
