I love using this with my cats!

I can check in on them when I’m not home and it makes me feel safe that they are doing ok and not getting into too much trouble. Since my cats have their own room I know there is a good place to put the camera but this would be a great camera to put also outside for security too. I like how easy it is to use.

Amazing camera and It’s wireless!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using this Google nest camera, outdoor, for over a month now and and I can’t stress enough how amazing this camera is. The response time and clarity are impeccable. It’s perfect security for my home. I wish I would’ve known about it sooner. The battery life has been great. I haven’t had to charge it yet so that’s a plus. It was also easy to install. I usually have my husband do these type of things installations but I was able to do it on my own. Another awesome feature is the magnetic mount it has to hold the camera in place. The magnetic works so well that it was able to withstand when we had winds of over 50 miles an hour. It’s also done great with all types of weather including freezing rain. I love that I can check my camera anywhere anytime from my phone and able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my house is protected.

Convenient camera

The camera was well packaged and included everything needed to mount it. The set up was very easy to navigate. The picture is very clear and night vision works great! We love having this to watch the wildlife in our backyard. It's very easy to take down to charge and stays up even in very windy conditions. This is a great camera.

Excellent Camera

Nice camera with great video quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The video quality is great compared to other devices I have tried. It has people vs. pet recognition which seems to work so far. The product itself seems sturdy and feels like it will last in the outdoor elements. It does say it is only weatherproof and not waterproof so I'm not sure yet how this will hold up in the rain.
I wish it worked with the existing Nest app. Unfortunately Amazon Alexa only has a skill that works with the Google Nest app. It does not ye work with Google Home app.
Hopefully that is a feature they are working on.

Super easy set up
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got theGoogle Nest - Nest Cam (outdoor or indoor, battery) a couple of weeks ago. The setup was easy as could be, synced it with my Google Home app and it was ready to go. The fact that it is wireless was a huge selling point for me. The magnetic base is super strong and holds the position of the camera exceptionally well even in strong winds and rain. The battery life seems to be great but still a bit early to tell. The picture is not as clear as I was expecting but it is very clear, I will look into the settings to see if I can adjust these a bit. Overall I am super happy with the Nest Cam.

Superb security
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve recently invested into smart home devices and features within my home and the Nest indoor/outdoor camera integration was seamless. I particularly like that the camera is made as 2 parts; the base and the camera. The camera is easy to place into the base for to the heavy duty magnet that connects to the base. It’s very easy to change the camera angle this way too! The battery lasts much longer than I had anticipated and charging is a breeze! The installation was so easy and the placement can be changed as much as I may see fit. Also, it’s important that I note the app features of the device- excellent viewing options with clear camera visuals both day and night. I added one of the best cameras to my home and have already ordered 2 more. Great product!

We live in a safe area but like the idea of being able to see what's going on in and around our house when we are not home. This camera was a great choice! You install the base with just two screws (and anchors if installing on drywall) and it took maybe 5 minutes. The camera and base both have very strong magnets to hold the camera in place and make it very easy to take down to charge and to angle the camera so it captures the area you want. Google makes is so easy to set up. You just use the Google Home app and it walks you through the process. It takes no time at all. Highly recommend.

Camera + Google = Easy

I love that this camera is integrated with Google. Set-up was a mostly a breeze. The picture and sound quality seem to be good too. I also like the sleekness and simplicity of design. Might be nice to have offered in a handful of colors to make it blend in more but that is not a very big deal to me.

Seamless install and integration

Google products are always well packaged and designed. This Nest Cam is currently being used at a rental property, its great to be able to set up security devices without the need for contracts and have the portability to re-locate. The camera is very minimalistic and is easy to install and set up through Application. It is a great piece of mind having another set of eyes to watch over your property. Highly recommend!

Perfect Integration for our Smart Home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Nest cam is a great device. Easy to install and operate. The unit comes in two parts, base & camera. No need to hardwire because the camera hooks up to the base via heavy duty magnet so you can remove to charge via USB cord (included). Only caveat it is hard to pair with Alexa. Still trying to pair. Otherwise this unit is great to have for peace/piece of mind and security and you can view through your phone, save clips, and view battery strength. The picture/video quality is quite sharp and you can view your history easily. The sound is clear and crisp.
I do recommend the Nest Cam!

Nice features and easy to use!

I have the google nest hub and thermostats, and have gotten very accustomed to the Google Home interface. My previous home camera was very basic and constantly glitched - only really want one to keep track of packages left on my porch. The nest cam set up was incredibly simple and it is connected to my home app. Video quality is amazing, and it covers a much bigger area than my old camera. I can clearly see the entire front porch and my walkway, too. It doesn't come with a stand, and since I didn't want to mount it to the inside of my window frame, I ordered the stand from the Google store and it should be arriving soon. Highly recommend!

Great camera!

Flexibility to Install Anywhere

Easy, sturdy, functional...a nice wireless option
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This indoor/outdoor Nest cam with rechargeable battery is a great product. Upon unboxing, the camera is held to the base by a very strong magnet. The base can be mounted wherever you can get a couple screws into a wall. It has two wall anchors and screws. Very simple install. The camera itself is solid and well built and has a nice aesthetic to it. I'm using it under the front porch overhang about 8 feet high so it's outdoors, but protected from rain and elements. The LED status light does shine green when recording, and while it can be dimmed, it cannot be turned off (at least not that I found). It does offer two way sound so you can talk in real time to someone in the viewing area, although I have not used it. The video quality is good and sufficient for my security/monitoring purposes. It does a good job identifying the subject as person, animal, or vehicle. The battery life will depend on how much movement it detects, but for my light usage, it should easily last 3+ months before needing to be recharged, which is a very nice tradeoff from having to have it hardwired to a power source. The Google Home app is easy to use and setup, as is the camera itself. The one detriment to this product is that without the Nest Aware subscription, you can only view recorded motion that has occurred in the last 3 hours. If it has occurred over 3 hours ago, it will be gone and you will not be able to see it (without the subscription). It's understandable they want to steer you into the subscription service (as nearly all of these types of products do) so just know that going into your purchase. Knowing that limitation going in, the product is actually very good and it performs well for what it is intended to do.

Easy setup, smart design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] TLDR: This is an excellent security camera with some really great features.
This webcam goes out of its way to make everything as easy as possible.
Setting it up with the Google Home app was very quick and painless.
I love the way magnetism is used to secure the cam to the base.
The fact that it uses a battery means you don't have to worry about constantly powering it and taking it down to charge, thanks to the magnet, is a snap.
I also love that it comes with enough memory to store 3 hours worth of captures so I can get a lot of use out of it without having to sign up for a monthly service fee.
Viewing the capture history is also really easy. The interface on the Google Home app is far better than several of the other top brands I've tried.
Another big plus for this is how quickly the live video comes up. I wish my doorbell worked this well.

I can see when packages are delivers and monitor them while we aren’t home. When we are out of town it’s just nice to see whats going on. The battery life is good and can’t really complain. Great for beginners and pros

The upgrades to this generation are nice including how easy it is to mount and set up using the Google Home app. The design is sleek and streamlined. The video quality is quite impressive even in low light modes, faces are discernible. The only downside to the new line is that you can no longer view the camera live without the light indicator flashing. Aside from this, I love everything about this camera including the functionality and ease-of-use. This specific model is convenient in that it can also work without requiring an electrical source by charging the battery. Of course, you will have to keep an eye on the battery levels and recharge as necessary but it is convenient to use in areas where you do not have access to an outlet. All in all, this is a wonderful camera both for novices and experts alike.

Easy to use high quality camera!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this camera to use outside my garage to monitor activity in the driveways and to monitor deliveries. It’s working great and I love you don’t have to plug it in!
The setup is easy. My wife was home when it came and she opened it and we both set it up on our phones with the Google home app. It’s very self explanatory and we didn’t even use the instructions once we downloaded the app.
Installing the camera only took me about 5 minutes and that’s mainly because I couldn’t find my drill. They recommend you place it around 6.5ft high. It has a very strong magnet that keeps it in place and I was shocked at how strong it is.
The camera is nice because it alerts you with movement and if it’s from a person or animal. It does save 3 hours for free and if you want to scan back to past dates they have very inexpensive subscriptions. Every security camera I have had has never given me any free storage only a live feed.
The other feature that I love is you can talk/use the mic on the camera. So if you did catch someone out there who was not supposed to be there you can speak to them/tell them the cops are called etc. We live in the mountains and have bears come up so we will try to scare them off by talking through the mic.
The battery lasted me about a month before I had to recharge it. We move a lot so not having to hard wire it makes it easy to take from place to place with only drilling the plate into the wall not worrying about plug-ins.
Overall this is a great way to monitor indoor and outdoor. It’s water resistant (not waterproof) so make sure it has a little cover. Mine is outdoor and just the little amount of roof cover protects it find. We get a lot snow and it’s been perfectly fine.

Great security camera!

Setup was quick and easy, once the Google Home App was downloaded. Everything needed to install/mount the camera was included - wall plate, magnetic plate, screws, etc. This location has a strong wifi signal, and the quality of the picture is good - especially during the day; the nighttime picture is not as clear but that is to be expected. I am very satisfied with the Nest Cam. It is heavy, well-made, and weather resistant. I think it will last for quite a while and provide a sense of security.
