Difficult installation, but worth the trouble
The installation process was challenging and frustrating. I followed the installation directions, but initially Netgear could not "find" the router. After three hours of frustration, I reinstalled the old router, which worked fine with the new modem. The next day, I started again. This time, Netgear "found" the router, everything looked good, but my devices were not connected. I called Xfinity, but that resulted in the circle of death. I'm not sure what finally worked, but Netgear and Xfinity seemed to do what they were supposed to do, and I was able to access my devices. Last note: Changing the network name and password was not easy. Logging into the router raised red flags on Firefox. I used my Android phone to access the router, and dealt with the teeny font in order to change the password and network name. No instructions, I took a shot and it paid off. I am not a tech person, I am a person who prefers not to call for tech help. I do believe the process could have been easier, or instructions more explicit. That being said, I am very happy with the router, it works well in our 3500 + square foot home, where we stream shows on TV and play games on our PCs.

So much better than my raxe600
I was hesitant upgrading. Didn't think I would notice any difference than my raxe600. So glad I did. No more lagging on my tvs or my ring cameras

Excellent router
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from Linksys router with Wi-Fi 5 to this router, and the difference in excellent. The set up is much smoother through a phone app, as well as making any administration changes. The wi-fi speed is faster with the same internet speed service, and is more secure. It helps to skip at least one generation with electronic purchases.

I first bought a tp link.router had it working and ut stop working after two days. I return it and went with the night Hawks router rs100 it wss a east fast setup and I have had no problems with it so far.

I was on the fence about buying a router for a while. I always thought the modem router combo was an issue. Turns out I was right all along. I also switched internet providers 2 days after I had this router. Which was the plan when I got it. Went from 25mb service to 1gig. This modem handles it just fine. I am seeing gig speed on it just fine wired, even over. I have seen 900 on my phone close by the router and 200 on the low side roaming around the house. No special setup. I needed the 4 ports on the back. That is why I didn't get a higher up model. This does not disappoint at all.

Works through log walls

I was looking for a router that would work well in a log home, since log walls can sometimes make WiFi coverage difficult. I’ve been very pleased with how well this router transmits wireless internet throughout my log home. So far, it has provided strong and reliable coverage.

Lightning Fast and Great Security!
I hooked this router up and was immediately off to the races, and set up was a breeze!
Paired with Netgear Armor, the security add-on, everything is right there at your fingertips with just two apps. It also gives you the ability to protect numerous devices, so it's great if you have a big family or just a lot of devices.
10/10 will recommend to anyone needing to upgrade.

Happy with my new Nighthawk
Reception on tv streaming has improved the clarity of our picture even when using my iPod at the same time. I am also looking forward to when we have 4 guests using their laptops and other devices at the same time to see if they have any WiFi complaints like they have had in the past.
