Good remote
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is hard to keep the issued-remote with smart TV’s - I always find that something isn’t syncing up, whether it be the volume button, the channels, the menu… and I end up needing both the “smart” remote plus the standard one. So far, this has worked well to cut down multiple remotes for our main living room to. It’s big, hopefully will be hard to misplace lol, does not feel any bit flimsy or cheap

Say goodbye to multiple remotes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One thing I have about TV watching now that we cut our cable is that we have so many remotes. It is like there is a remote for each of the streaming sticks or boxes we have, and we need the main TV remote to toggle between the input of each to get to the right one when we want to watch something. It is not only crazy, but stressful, especially when one of the kids loses a remote. But, thanks to this universal all in one remote we can now control 8 devices with one remote. No more headaches trying to find the right remote for a certain device, or stressing if we can't find a certain remote. Also, programming this remote was super easy. I am so glad we got this remote, and now look forward to watching shows and movies, as it is breeze to access them.

Very easy to program!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually I leave these set ups to my spouse, but this one was too easy to pawn off! Out of the box it was already programmed to work with my Roku and TV. I was left with programming the audio/receiver. Luckily, the first program code for my manufacturer worked like a charm. We went from having three different controllers to watch TV down to one. I don't know why we didn't do this ages ago! Because the controller can program up to 8 devices, we have room to add to our setup while maintaining a single controller. The only things you need are 2qty AA batteries and a few minutes. One last thing -the controller comes wrapped in paper instead of plastic or bubble wrap. I appreciate the plastic-free packaging and environmental consideration. It was a nice touch by One for All.

Setup was extremely easy to pair . I really like the back light, it's easy on the eyes. It helps to see when switching between devices.

Huge convenience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in such a huge need for a universal remote, but never got one because they seemed super complicated. But, when I got this one, it was so easy to set up! It has so many functions, you can operate literally every function on the television, it's great! The most important thing for me is that it has a backlight, which is warm and ambient and allows me to use it any time day or night. I am so happy to have this and finally have a remote back! It saved so much money from having to buy a replacement from the tv company, which always helps. Overall, an awesome convenience!

Winner for sure!

Five different remotes are a thing of the past. The directions were easy to follow to set this remote up. We are extremely happy now that all our devices for the TV are controlled by one remote.

Really convenient!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a technical person, so the fact that I could easily get this to work with my tv and streaming stick was remarkable. There are pages of instructions, but once you read them, it really had all the information I needed. I also have a no-name brand dvd player that was trickier, but the manual that came with the dvd player had the universal code on it. I've been thinking about getting a sound bar, and am glad this will work with that if I do. It's so annoying juggling remotes and trying to figure out which one goes with what, so I really like having just one. One thing I still cannot figure out is which button will eject my DVD - I'm not sure there is a button for that, but for everything else I have had no problem. There are fancier things this remote will do - turn on several things at once - but I haven't tried to use those features yet, I'm just still enjoying dealing with one remote for everything.

Very convenient
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that I am able to have my TV, directv, and even my ps4 all on one remote instead of having 3 or 4 different remotes to use. One thing that us a Lil annoying to me is if I need to use the volume I constantly have to switch over to the TV then back to the directv for changing stations but thats not a big problem. Another thing I was able to do was put my child's tv on it so I don't have to constantly look for theirs. 1 remote to take the place of 4 or 5 so awesome.

Programming was easy, instructions were good, replaced my Samsung tv remote which got lost in a move. easy markings to read.... so many applications, but for me, it was just tv on and off and volume....

I have several things hooked up to my tv and I control them all with this one remote. I dont have to search all over for the tv remote to turn up the volume, one remote to push the input button, one remote for the streaming stick.

Great Remote!

My favorite thing about it is the antimicrobial aspect. I don’t have to worry about any microorganisms on the remote when I have guests over.

Great remote that is all in one!

It really helps a lot having just one remote for all our home devices instead if having several laying around and then they all get lost or misplaced when you need it. Convenient

The instructions are super clear, and was able to easily connect this to our Vizio TV. We also have it connected to our soundbar. The remote it larger than the individual remotes I have, but if it's between using 4 small remotes or using 1 larger remote, I'd rather use 1.

I mounted a tv and soundbar and didn't want to have to keep switching remotes to change inputs and control everything. This was easy to setup and worked great with my setup. While it isn't the prettiest universal remote, it is simple, reliable and gets the job done. Mission accomplished, I got everything I needed out out of this. It is five stars in my book, and fits my need without unnecessary confusing features.

One For All: The Very Best of Unifying Remotes
I just completed a technology upgrade for my home entertainment system due to my plasma television going out of service. As a result, I have new components that need to be unified but I also kept one holdover from my old system which remains my Iomega Screenplay Media Player. This is now a legacy component. My previous universal remote was the Philips Prestigo SRU8015. The remote served me very well for eleven years but the right arrow click function was failing along with battery consumption so I decided to replace it as part of the upgrade. I tried other universal remotes but they did not have the codes for legacy support nor did any of them have the learning feature that my old Prestigo remote included. I conducted extensive research online for a suitable replacement and found the Essential 8 on the One for All website. I was surprised that this model was not available on Amazon, so I expanded my search and found it on the P.C. Richard and Son website. Upon purchase the remote was promptly shipped to my home and setup was remarkably easy. The remote is lightweight and ergonomic. In a matter of minutes I was able to assign the code for my LG television and use the learning function to control my Iomega media player and my Altec Lansing wireless speakers. I especially appreciate the dedicated volume buttons that control sound no matter the particular device the remote is set to control. As a bonus, this remote only uses two AA batteries, whereas the Philips remote used three AA batteries. With easy to read backlit LED buttons, simple instructions, an ergonomic design that is comfortable to hold, and dedicated volume control, this One for All Essential 8 is the best universal remote I have owned, surpassing the Philips Prestigo. I highly recommend this remote and the vendor where I purchased it, P.C. Richard and Son.

My spare remote
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great remote to keep in a special place for when any remotes get misplaced. we have 6 TVs in our house and a lot of kids so remotes get lost a lot. It’s easy to program just make sure to keep the directions/code list. When switching devices you just have to pick the corresponding device on remote first. A great solution for a family that’s always losing remotes. Remember 2 AA are not included.

Works like a charm
