Excellent subwoofer very powerful and accurate with music movies etc.Setup easy all that is needed is follow the two page instructions and you will experience true BASS ease of setup was not challenging this all adds up to the most TRUE SUBWOOFER ON THE MARKET TODAY. HTS12 HAS NOT NOT CHANGED IN YEARS POLK ENGINEERS KNOW GREAT SECRETS. THANKX POLK FOR PRODUCING SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT.

Sounds great.
I have this paired with Polk R200 speakers and a Denon AVR. I used the Audyssey room EQ in the AVR to set it up. It set it to come on at 40Hz. So for solo piano, the L200's can cover the frequency range but it is interesting to see how much low frequency content is in tv commercials.The sub comes on automatically when triggered. No need to turn it on by the switch.I'm loving this set-up and will take it a step further and add another HTS12 soon. Polk customer service has been great. Really fast shipping. My other stereo has Polk SDA-2B's which I bought in 1988 and they still work fine.

Great LFE
This is the first sub I have ever purchased so sadly I cannot compare but as a beginner audio enthusiast I would say this sub has been amazing. Games I've played and movies I've watched have become surreal I don't think I can play/watch anything without LFE. Fantastic sub, I plan to get a second one soon.

It’s worth it, trust me.
Build quality surpassed all my expectations and will be buying another one soon. Easy simple hook up to my speaker and amazing loud sound quality. I would recommend this sub over any in this price range.

Solid clean full Bass
I bought the HTS-12 to replace a 20 year old 12" sub in my home theater system. That sub served me well and still put out good sound but I felt a newer sub would be an upgrade. Boy was I right! The SPL this sub creates in my basement is unlike anything I've experienced before in my home. My pant leg literally vibrates as I sit on my couch 12 feet away. It goes deeper and sounds much cleaner than my old sub. I'm hearing (and feeling) sounds in movies that I didn't hear before. I got it on sale and is well worth the money I spent on it. Highly recommend.

Spectacular
I bought this HTS 12 a week ago and I am so happy with this monster! It has a warm deep strong bass. We owned in the last 35 years many different subwoofers, but this is the best!
It is big and heavy. But he sounds very very good!
I think of the shooting in "Skyfall" at the end, or listen to "Kashmir" in "Celebration Day". It is unbelievable how the floor in our house starts to shake!!!
More than five stars!!!!!

Impressive!
I bought and installed the HTS 12 in my 650 sq. ft. living room and WOW! I am using the LFE port connected to my Bowers and Wilkins Panorama soundbar's subwoofer output. This thing has excellent build quality, is quite heavy, sounds incredible, and looks great! I only wish I could afford an additional one (not that I need it, but the "twins" would look great flanking my Panasonic 65" plasma. I seriously hope I don't bother my neighbors with this tight thumping bass. I am definitely a big Polk fan now.

I bought this as an upgrade from my definitive 600 8” sub. And wow what a difference. This thing fills your room with clean bass. It even makes my audiophile surround friend jealous.

Deep and powerful
Ordered a HTS10 but got upgraded to an HTS12 due to stock issues.
Looks great and goes deep.
I am unsure is is musical enough for me.
Also, the signal auto/on is not working (as reported by many others) but the DC 12v option works fine (if your amp has this, use it).
I wish it was more musical/fast and may be cover higher frequencies to help my S10/S35 better in the midrange.
