At P.C. Richard & Son, we have Premier ranges that suit both traditional and modern styles. Available at several different price points, these ranges are versatile options with features that will delight home cooks and professional chefs.
Electric or Gas Ignition
When you shop with us, you can choose from gas or electric-powered Premier ranges. Generally, electric ranges are more affordable than gas ranges. A gas range may give you slightly more control over the cooking temperature, so a Premier gas range may suit you best if you cook special dishes on a regular basis.
Some of the Premier gas ranges are equipped with a battery-powered ignition system. If the pilot light goes out, the battery ignition can be used to generate a spark. This system requires eight AA batteries, and you'll be notified if there is a low battery.
Ovens and Drawers
All Premier ranges include a single oven with an interior oven light. You can choose an oven door with or without a window. Your oven will have two racks, and you will be able to place the racks in up to four different positions.
Depending on the model you select, your range will have a storage drawer or a broiler drawer. Your storage drawer can be used to store oven-safe cookware, including pots, pans, baking sheets, and muffin tins. A broiler drawer can hold casserole pans and baking sheets, and it's ideal for browning, caramelizing, and roasting.
Burner Options
The Premier ranges at P.C. Richard & Son include four, five, or six burners. If you choose a gas range, you can select open or sealed burners. Generally, open burners produce more heat than sealed burners. Since sealed burners have a seal between the flame and the burner, they may be easier to clean than open burners.
With electric Premier ranges, you'll have the option of choosing coil or smooth top burners. Coil burners are the most traditional, and they're ideal if you enjoy a vintage look. Smoothtop burners provide a sleek look, so you may like these if your style is more modern.
Built-In Griddles
Some of the larger Premier gas ranges include built-in griddles. You can use these in place of a cast-iron griddle or a grill pan.
