We have a Ring doorbell in the front of the house, so I was excited to see that Ring also makes a floodlight cam that checked all my boxes. It also has smart features like the live view and night vision.

Awesome Video Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Ring camera has awesome quality, absolutely blew my mind. I have a different system and the quality is OK but this Ring cam is amazing. Even night time is so clear and easily able to make out what you are looking at. The light is super bright as well, light up my whole front yard, which isn't huge. I do like that you can communicate with your voice, that's pretty neat. If my wife is outside I can talk with her or if I am outside she can talk to me if she needs something. It picks up motion great too, any small movement the cam senses it. On to installation, it was a pretty easy process. Did require help by someone that is technology savvy but it was done pretty quick. Overall, this is a great camera and in the future I'd love to have my whole security system set up with these.

Great Security and Peace of mind

We already had on Ring Flood Light setup in our front yard, but we wanted to also keep track of anything going on in the backyard so we set this one up on our back porch. This time I did not have an existing light so there was some electrical work to be done. It was still as easy as one, two, three.
The camera is so easy to install. All the tools and hardware are clearly marked and the design is intended to make things very easy. From installing the simple mounting bar, the mounting plate, and the included strap that allow the camera to hang while all the wires are connected behind it, everything just lines up easily.
Our yard is on the big side so I didn't expect the night view to be able to see the entire yard, but even with our back fence 100ft from the camera you can see everything even when the light is off.
A best features are the smart alerts and schedules that allows you to only get alerts for people and to set specific times or a "snooze" to not receive motion alerts. We hang out on our back porch most evenings, and its nice to be able to set a short time to disable the alerts but then ensure all other times we are alerted of anyone in our yard.
All around a great product.

Starting with the design this is nicely designed. Much to my husbands delight the mounting directions were clear and uncomplicated. Connecting to ring was fairly easy. We are technologically challenged but, didn’t even have to ask the kids for help! The video is very clear and crisp and the lights are perfect. Very happy with this product.

Works Great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This flood light does everything it say it will do. It puts out very bright light and the camera is very clear and it was easily added to my Ring App with my other Ring devices. Everything needed to install is in the box. Installation was quite simple and took about 25 minutes for me. Make sure to have existing wiring to install. I love the technology of this cam/light combo and have learned that the light was constructed to last at least 10 years.

Great light and camera

The first camera I have found to see such an extensive viewing and very clear viewing as well. Enjoyed the clear instructions and found more through comments regarding this camera. Great Security Day and Night!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus about two weeks ago. I couldn't wait to get it up but I needed a little help putting it up. It was easy to install and set up. But me on a ladder is not a good combination. Once we got the app all you had to do was scan the code. I was impressed with the quality of the camera during the day , but I was blown away by the night vision camera. You get notifications and the floodlights come on when there's movement . It covers a wide range view of the back and side yard. You can adjust the sensitivity, turn on the floodlights and have a two way conversation all from the app. Oh and the picture quality is amazing even when you zoom in. The Ring Floodlight cam provides you with a sense of security and peace of mind. Whether you home or away rest assured Ring has you covered. A spectacular product from a trusted company.

Great features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed outside light on our deck and this ring motion activated floodlight is perfect for the job. Great floodlight to illuminate the deck area plus HD video and built in siren so we feel protected in case of an intruder. The app is a great partner so we can monitor the area when we are away and even speak to any visitor when we are home Or away. We like the color night vision too.

I love it... it has a dual floodlight which is helpful the motion sensor is great and the lights come on when something passes by it.the 1080 video is clear we r still figuring out the 2 way talk features but are loving this.I love that I feel protected ..my s5 was having trouble with the app but hubby got it to work on his end and loves it..when we r away we get an alert and he can see this is a must..

Excellent Floodlight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this Ring Floodlight for added security around my home, plus, we get lots of different types of animals crossing into our backyard and would be good to have a visual on what's out there before I take my small dog out. This light is AMAZING and lights up my entire backyard, plus, I am able to access the camera view easily from my phone. Connection set up was easy and instructions were easy to follow. I did have to have someone come and mount onto the house (as I am not a professional), but other than that installation was simple and overall quality is amazing. Definitely would recommend purchasing!!

It has a clear view video of your area.It records and keeps history of your recordings. It also has 2 very bright spot light you point in several directions. It also has 2 way communication to speak to whoever is at your door.I love the siren feature to. It covers a very large area and has live real time video. You can use it on a lap top or PC and can hook up to alexa. I love that it warns you that someone is at your door and you can adjust it for various areas you need covered.You can share and take pictures with your friends and neighbors.Also can get more features if you subscribe for a small amount of money and peace of mind. Has 1080 p video quality. It is motion controlled and has night vision also.

I think my favorite feature is that anytime there is motion outside, I get an alert on my phone. I can also mark exactly where I want motion detection to alert me. I can go back on recordings that are saved, and share them with neighbors which is helpful. The floodlight is great for allowing me to see at night when I am coming home too.

Love the Ring Floodlight Cam

I always have animals getting into my trash can and more. Now I can see everything that’s going on in my back yard. Cam is so easy to use. It’s fast and easy to view photos of intruders. The floodlight is great. It comes on and scares animals away. Plus is a great form on light for me when walking to my vehicle at night.

Good add to the Ring ecosystem

Now, with a new pool being installed, I wanted some additional monitoring for the backyard. I replaced an old light fixture on near my pool to my new Ring Floodlight Cam Plus. It works great and provides the extra monitoring I wanted to for my backyard pool. The install only took about 15 minutes to replace the old fixture with the new Ring Floodlight Cam Plus. I was able to add the new cam to my Ring profile in about 5 minutes.

Another great addition!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a few other Ring products at home so I was excited to add this to my network. The nice thing about a wired device is you don't have to worry about the battery; the bad thing is you just have to put in that initial work to install it. The floodlight adds additional security and also provides or better video. The floodlights can be adjusted and are bright! This device allowed me to replace an existing camera and separate floodlight on my house. I agree with all the other reviews out there about some limitations to cloud recording and video monitoring app--but this is not unique to Ring. I have the same issues with my Arlo device. RIng actually has more features and settings.

Floodlights give plenty of light at night as well. I am very happy to have this product, it is so much clearer than I had imagined!

Is there ever a reason to have to reboot from the floodlight itself? When installed it will be 9 feet high. Will there ever be a need get on a ladder after an electrician installs it to my garage?

Great question! Yes, if your Ring device loses its wifi connection, it may be possible that you will need to access the device and press the set-up button located on the top of the camera.
