Awesome little box
I replaced it with an Apple TV generation too and was thinking about getting generation three which they said they’re both the same wouldn’t make no difference so then I looked at Roku decided to buy that because it was almost half the price hooked that up and that thing is so much faster than Apple TV. It’s got so many more features. It is great. I would definitely recommend it for other people

Prefer over Amazon Firestick
I was tired of the Amazon Firestick shutting off my programs and tv when paused. Plus, I hated that I could not delete any of the unnecessary Amazon apps. They take up too much room. So, I got the Roku to compare it. I love the Roku. I plan on upgrading all my tvs with this, once I can afford more. The fact that I can use my Bluetooth headphones is also a wonderful plus. Love that.

Huge upgrade
Had an older Roku device on my tv in the basement. Because of distance from router was always experiencing slow, slow service. Upgrade to the Ultra and boom...all issues disappeared. I now have this on every non Roku brand TV and am very happy.

Fine product
This is my second Roku ultra, and it’s even better with one exception: Roku removed Paramount+ and added Prime Video. However, the remote is now backlit, which makes up for everything. I highly recommend it. (I still think they should’ve kept Paramount+, though!!)

We cancelled our cable and bought the Roku Ultra. We have been very pleased streaming more channels than we ever imagined. Plus the basic channels so we are able to watch our community news channels.

Roku Ultra 2024 is worth it!
I've been a Roku user for several years and I have encouraged people to get the Ultra, and THIS Ultra is even better! Backlit remote, very fast responses due to upgraded processor & memory, and yet pleasantly familiar!
Buy this version if you're looking for a Roku device.

Roku Ultra (2024) is Awesome
My wife and I are longtime fans of Roku, and greatly value the user experience it provides. Simple and reliable. Motivated by the imminent arrival of houseguests, we recently moved our primary (family room) Ultra (2020) player to a spare TV in our guest suite, and replaced it with an Ultra (2024). Both players use hardwired Ethernet connections for smooth streaming. It goes without saying, we liked our Ultra enough to buy it again. While we anticipated improvements in the newer model, reflecting its further development, I’m delighted to report Ultra (2024) has exceeded our expectations. Specifically, we LOVE the new backlit remote (more so, after setting the “rocket” button to launch our favorite apps; SlingTV and YouTube). Most surprisingly, not to mention, most welcome, our picture quality noticeably improved as a result of Ultra (2024) detecting and optimizing our Samsung TV’s High Dynamic Range (HDR) display capabilities. My wife likened it to getting a new TV. The bottom line is Ultra (2024j is a thoughtfully conceived and well-executed product. Go Roku!

Very easy to set up
I already had another Roku product, but I am trying to get rid of cable so I decided to get this Roku Ultra to prepare for that. Even though I set up the first Roku, I don't remember that at all, so there was a bit of being nervous about it, but it was very easy actually. Roku has common sense prompts so there was nothing to be worried about. There is also a lot of information online (YouTube, etc.) for more information on anything you don't quite understand, so don't forget to tap those resources.

I can actually Watch Apple TV
I have insignia with Roku built-in in the living room. I've had it for about 10 years now but I could never get Apple TV to work on it and with the ultra I can actually watch Apple TV on the living room. The other apps on there seem very updated. I love that you can actually page the remote just in case it's lost between the couch cushions. Battery holds up well on the remote. And the voice feature is a nice thing to have.

I've been a fan of the streaming players since day 1. Now with the most recent model, it's claim that it's 30% faster has proven to be true. Audio is awesome. The backlit remote is unique. Not much else to say.

Great Functionality
I’ve had a Roku Ultra for two years and love it. Unfortunately, because of a lightening strike it got fried along with my router. I replaced it with a new unit that recognized my Roku account and installed seamlessly. I don’t have cable but have found that Roku allows me to access the most apps and streaming platforms effortlessly. Also, it might be my imagination but this new unit seems faster than the one it replaced (and that one was fast). I use it on a five-year old Samsung smart tv that has a clunky, slow interface that is not compatible with many apps. The Roku has added new life to this tv.
