Waited too long to get this Q990D system

Better than the movie theaters

occasional music when home alone.
We lack the space for a full on home
theater system, but after using
it, I'd go as far as saying this rivals
even that for the budget required.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Q990 series of samsung soundbars are top of the line soundbar system and I have them with subwoofer and wireless surround speakers. I use it daily for streaming music and watching TV and they are great. The details to sound and all is great as long as the content is rich enough with that kind of data. otherwise its loud and powerful enough to get the feel of music and action in my large living room. I use it with my samsung smart t and it's great sync most times. It's buggy firmware could be painful sometimes but updates should fix most of it.

Awesome Samsung Soundbar for my Samsung Television
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We redesigned our living room area which included adding an upgraded entertainment system. I wanted a top notch sound system that had Dolby ATMOS capability and I really wanted a subwoofer and rear speakers to make it complete. After lots of research I chose this Samsung HW-Q990D 11.1.4ch Dolby ATMOS Soundbar with subwoofer and rear speakers and so glad I did. The system fully integrates with the TV, and the subwoofer combined with the rear surround sound speakers provides the ultimate "movie theater" experience - in MY HOME! The unit also comes with a nice remote that allows me to control everything, including how much THUMP I want from my subwoofer. I would highly recommend this soundbar and would make the same purchase if I had to do it again!

It almost sounds like you are like right there in the scenes of the movie/show you are watching. One of the best decision/investment I made was buying this sound system.

Extremely Immersive Audio with Samsung HW-Q990D

Huge upgrade from old 5.1 system
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have the sound system connected to main TV using the HDMI 2.1 ports for 4k bluray player and Google streamer to take advantage of Dolby Atmos, sound is amazing sounds like you are in the movie. Works great for music too. Even better, when my 4k bluray was connected directly to the TV it had issues cutting out but works flawlessly on the passthrough. Have watch HDR+ and Dolby Vision movies with zero issues. Setup was simple. Smartthings integration amd app support is huge plus. Tap to play works as expected to play music from my phone. Huge upgrade from the old 5.1 system I had been using. Much more immersive sound with broad sound stage. Rears sound great and the entire system is made of very durable materials. No more mesh speaker covers that get torn. String bass from the subwoofer.

Great Atmos experience

Amazing soundbar
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 6year old LG soundbar. Wanted to go with Q symphony to take advantage of the TV with same technology. The sounds doesn't disappoint. My old soundbar made it hard to make out movies with low talking. This one allows you to bring that sound out more. My kids and I put movies and have a great time with the surround. We feel emersed in the movie.

For gaming, the directional sound helps me hear every footstep or action around me, giving me an immersive edge in fast-paced games. During sports, the roar of the crowd and detailed commentary make it feel like I’m right in the stadium.

Full surround sound

Once I installed the first sound bar on my 98 inch Samsung TV I was so impressed with the sound quality I bought a second 98 inch Samsung Q model Tv and the 990D soundbar for a second home I own. The sound using the TV and the soundbar is much better than the older models that dont use the TV speakers with the soundbar . The rear speakers also give you the feeling of live TV . It takes a while to get the speakers adjusted properly but once you do youll never go back to front speakers only.
