Easy Setup and Amazing Sound Quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first "sound system" that we've owned. I wonder now why we waited so long to acquire one! I appreciate Samsung's commitment to the environment through minimizing the amount of packaging - but I will say that actually getting the components OUT of the box wasn't as easy as one would expect. Once we got over that hurdle, it was all smooth sailing and great sound. We've placed this in our family room - which is actually part of a larger space that includes our kitchen and dining area. A lot of space for sound to get lost. The Samsung Soundbar more than compensates for the vastness of the space with the SpaceFit Sound Pro technology. The biggest WOW for me is the enhanced dialog the soundbar provides. I've historically had to use CC when watching movies, which drives my husband to distraction. I'm happy to report that I've not used CC once since hooking up the Samsung system!!!
We connected it via bluetooth to our external streaming device, which was super simple - and a bonus to not have MORE unsightly cables to manage. More importantly - the bluetooth Subwoofer has amazing bass, which has enhanced enjoyment and quality of music playlists. The awesome bass also makes me feel like I’m sitting onset of my favorite genre of movies - a good Shoot Em UP. The explosions are AMAZING. Additionally, with Night Mode, the soundbar intuitively reduces the “rumbling” of the bass, which my hubby appreciates when he’s trying to sleep on the other side of the wall.
Total setup, start to finish, was less than 20 minutes. Overall very happy with this sound system and would recommend it to anyone interested in enhancing the sound for their entertainment system!

Great sounding soundbar.. if that makes sense..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first soundbar purchase,.....ever, as compared to my 10 year old tvs tinny sounding speakers that I had to contend with for almost over ten years this soundbar sounds awesome comparatively, and now I also get another level of sound because of the because of wireless Bluetooth sub woofer, I can finally hear the bass in my music and the explosions in my movies especially with bass boost option without the hassle of wires it sounds amazing, also the built in center speaker allows me to hear the movies dialogue crystal clear. The HW-B550D is equipped with Dolby Atmos and DTS:X technologies which delivers an immersive 3D audio experience that drops you right into the middle of the movie's action. One of the key features of the HW-B550D is its Adaptive Sound technology. This feature analyzes the content in real-time and optimizes the audio settings for the best sound quality for that media. I didn't use the mounting hardware provided I just placed the soundbar on the legs of my tv stand and that's it, definitely a worthy sound upgrade.

I added this 2024 new Sound Bar to my new Samsung 55 inch TV.
The sound is fantastic!
The sound encompasses the entire room!
It fills the room and you are a part of the action or the concert.
I tried movies and wow – the bass pops, the voices are clear, the background sound is heard and you are sitting in the middle of the scene on the TV.
I tried all types of Music videos – Smooth Jazz, Marching Bands, Classical, Old Time….and it was outstanding…The instruments are so clear and precise.
I heard background voices that I didn’t know existed in some of the pieces of music I listened to. The Danish Orchestra was a whole different experience with this new sound bar and TV. I heard and saw sounds I hadn’t heard prior.
The Built-In Center Speaker helps to project the sound into the entire room. When I add the Subwoofer with Bass Boost the entire room is engulfed in the music and the sound feels like we are actually in the video.
The surround sound helps to engulf us while we are watching and listening. All of these new features are great and I can’t believe that I haven’t upgraded till now. The audio, sound, music, and sound effects are all outstanding.
Overall, I / we love the sound and music from this 2024 soundbar !!!

Excellent Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung knows what they're doing when it comes to sound. We set up the HW-B550D and have been using it for about a week. Setup was fast and simple. We had another Samsung soundbar previously, but this one is definitely an upgrade. I love the night mode option on the soundbar. Due to work schedules, I may be sleeping during the day while my partner may be awake watching TV or movies. He is able to switch on Night Mode and I am not disturbed at all. Sound Quality is A+. We were able to connect our cell phones to the soundbar via Bluetooth without any issues. We have used it several times when we have parties and play music. Everyone is able to hear it clearly across our home and even outside by the pool! While watching movies, there are typically scenes where dialogue is low. With the HW-B550D, you can hear clearly. The soundbar adapts to every scene and dialogue and adjusts automatically so you don’t miss anything. Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual X are added bonuses. You feel like you are in the movie when watching.
I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a theater-like experience in their home.

I already had a Samsung Soundbar, but for some reason it no longer paired with my TV. I am going to connect it with another TV. I decided it was time for an update!
The Samsung Soundbar (HW-B550D) is awesome! The sound is bold and fills my room. The sound is so rich it feels very similar to being in a movie theater! Sound is so important to me as I don't have the best hearing.
I watch TV with closed captioning, but having mighty sound is even more of a rewarding experience! Who needs to go to the movies?!
I dislike having to always turn up the volume, especially living in a condo situation!
As for setting up the soundbar:
I had a tough time setting up the Soundbar. First, I tried via Bluetooth, and it wouldn't pair with the TV, only my phone. When I finally paired it with my TV, there was no sound. I realized I needed an HDMI cable.
Unfortunately, this Soundbar did not come with an HDMI cable, thankfully, I had one from a previous device. After about 30 minutes of trying to set it up, I realized the lack of an HDMI cable was the issue.
The Samsung Soundbar HW-B550D is amazing! I am so excited to have such powerful sound when I enjoy my shows and movies!
Dolby Audio / DTS Virtual:X - You can't go wrong with surround sound! This option adjusts the volume to enhance content. Let the speakers do the work so you experience your entertainment.
The Built-In Center Speaker is great! This feature offers enhanced dialogue so I won't miss a word of dialogue. This is usually my biggest pet peeve when closed captioning isn't available.
Subwoofer with Bass Boost - I love this feature! I've never had this, so I love the when I get that deep sound!
Voice Enhanced - I use this feature to help me capture voice clarity.
Night Mode - since I live in a condo and share walls, I use this in the evening to keep from disturbing my neighbors! This feature lowers the bass sound.
This Samsung Soundbar was worth the upgrade.

Small package great sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This small but powerful soundbar is crystal clear. The external bass makes this thing sound so good, especially with the bass boost on. The only thing I would have done differently is get the rear speakers with it. But depending on the room you might not even need it with the adaptive sound and DTS Virtual sound it does a great job. Would recommend 100%. With the included optical cable making a wired connection is easy for using the smart functions of my TV and still enjoying the soundbar's more robust sound. or go wireless with BT built-in. All in all just a solid soundbar.

We used the bluetooth setting to connect to the soundbar and speaker to the tv. It comes with wall mounts and an optical cord. It has loads of features which I really like, namely the sound. It has a
built in center speaker which enhances the sound quality to overide what's playing in the background. I love that the remote connects easily to operates both the soundbar and the tv. It has bluetooth connectivity and comes with a wall mount.
The subwoofer with bass boost delivers powerful bass sound effects. It has a nightmode feature which I don't use. It lowers the sound at night so as not to wake others while they sleep. I do like the voice enhanced mode which optimizes the equalizer to clarify voices. I really like the fact that you can connect two bluetooth devices simultaneously. The sounbar has a small footprint and fits perfectly with my Samsung Frame TV. I am happy that we got this soundbar, it really does make a big difference with enhancing the sound quality of any show you watch.

Awesome details!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my new Samsung sound bar. The sound quality is tremendously better than the tiny speakers in my smart tv. Dialog is now clear and easy to understand. The system blends in nicely with my smart tv without obstructing the screen. The subwoofer provides more than enough bass and is small enough to be tucked away out of sight. I appreciate being to use either an HDMI connection or Bluetooth for input. The Bluetooth is really nice because it allows for audio streaming or podcasts from my phone or computer from anywhere in the house. This feature makes the system more useful because it makes the system more than just a dedicated speaker for the tv. The remote control is minimalistic and easy to use, but I rarely use it because the Samsung system allows me to use my tv remote for all of the functions that I need including power. It's really nice to be able to control everything with just one remote. The components in the Samsung system seem to be of high quality and are well made. I appreciate the attention to small details like the removable power cords with right angle connectors and the sound bar display that is hidden behind the grill so that it isn't visible unless the system is in use. Overall a great product that I would not hesitate to recommend.

Small but mighty
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I initially opened up the box and laid my eyes on the soundbar I thought “hmmm this little thing isn’t gonna be very loud”, but boy was I wrong. It may look small but packs an audio punch like you wouldn’t imagine. We replaced an older Samsung soundbar model with this new one and couldn’t be happier. The bass on the subwoofer is so prominent and the audio is just so rich. The Dolby Audio / DTS Virtual:X is amazing and makes us feel immersed in the sound and definitely enhances the cinematic experience with only the soundbar and subwoofer and no additional speakers. Our space in our living area is limited so the minimal speaker setup is perfect. Also, I am loving the voice enhance feature and adaptive sound. I’m one of those people that can never hear what they are saying no matter how much I turn up the volume. These features make it so I can hear what’s being said without having to turn on subtitles.
Another feature that I thought was a plus is the night mode feature. We have a newborn and her room is next to the living area where the soundbar is set up. I love the fact that when she is asleep, I can turn on night mode and watch a movie with my hubby and still get a rich audio output without the bass rumbling and waking the baby up.
The set up was super simple as well, and the design is very sleek. I would definitely recommend this soundbar to my friends and family.

Great sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soundbar has great sound. It also has a great price. You really can't beat it. I have single-sided deafness due to a car accident and often times have a hard time hearing the television and always use closed captions. This really helps me hear it so much better. The sound is super clear and crisp. The built-in center speaker is nice and loud. The subwoofer with bass-boost is loud and you can feel it. It is very easy to set up and we had no issues with it whatsoever. The settings are easy to control and change right from the remote - you can change the treble, bass, etc. The voice enhanced feature and night mode are also great features. I also like the Adaptive Sound Lite. It also connects to the Samsung Smartthings app which I love. I highly recommend this soundbar, especially if you are on a budget or don't want to spend a ton of money on one! It has so many added features at such an amazing price point. I plan on getting one for every room in our house now.

Great Companion to my Projector
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting to replace the older sound system hooked up to my basement projector for quite some time now. It was an older receiver and the bass and sound quality were pretty lackluster. After upgrading to the Samsung HW-B550D, I notice a world of difference.
Setup was a little more difficult than I would have liked since I needed to get a long enough HDMI to run all the way across to my projector. I have my Fire Stick connected to the HDMI in the soundbar and my projector hooked up to the ARC port and everything works great. I love that the soundbar turns itself off once the projector turns off.
The first improvement I've noticed is the bass from this soundbar can fill the basement theater room on high volume. I can literally get the walls to shake if I turn it up loud enough, which is great for replicating going to the theater in my own basement.
Next is the actual sound quality. It sounds a lot better than my last system which I don't think had Dolby or DTS. Voices and sound effects come through clearly. I currently have it set to surround sound mode, but I also enjoy the DTS Virtual X mode as well.
The only thing I don't like about this soundbar is the tiny display. You have to wait for the words to scroll by which makes it kind of annoying. My older Samsung soundbar has a bigger display that is a bit easier to read. Once you setup your EQ and sound mode though, you really don't even need to pay much attention to the screen on the sound bar except for the volume.
Overall, I'm pleased with the upgrade in sound quality and bass this soundbar provides compared to my last system.

Best Soundbar Ever !

The quality of the sound is second to none. For any type of music, TV show, movie, or video game the sound is absolutely fantastic. The Dolby surround sound and booming subwoofers deliver rich sound and deep bass, and made everything I watched better than ever. I also love that the volume is automatically adjusted to enhance content, so it's not super quiet one second and super loud the next second.
The set up was super easy and I had everything ready to go within 10 minutes. The bluetooth pairing worked flawless and I had zero problems. This soundbar and subwoofer have left me speechless. I am a lifelong fan now, and cannot watch shows or movies without it.

Excellent Sound and Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Samsung products. All of my appliances in my house are Samsung and they never disappoint.
Setup:
Setup was quick and easy. If you have set up a soundbar before, you can typically set it up in under 15 minutes. If this is your first time, it may take a little longer to figure out what options you want to choose, as there are several options. The lack of a HDMI cable to connect to the HMDI Arc port was a con, as most soundbars come with the cables you may need for setup. I had extra HDMI cables sitting around. Bluetooth works great and was easy to connect to both the TV and my cell phone.
Sound Quality:
Samsung never disappoints. The sound was excellent. It felt like I was in a movie theater. I love the subwoofer because it adds the extra bass needed. The Night Mode is great when you have others who may be sleeping in the house. I watched a movie I had watched with my previous soundbar, and I was able to hear the lower dialogue clearly. I had to turn up the volume on my previous soundbar when actors may have been whispering or speaking low. You can definitely immerse yourself in the sound from the HW-B550D.
Overall, this is an excellent choice for a soundbar. Samsung truly never disappoints with their products and I would definitely recommend this product.

My TV's New Sidekick
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung soundbar HW-B550D has remarkable rich sound. It connects seamlessly to my new Samsung TV. I used the bluetooth setting to connect the soundbar and speaker to the tv. It comes with an optical cord as well along with wall mounts. Some of the features I love the most is that it has a small remote which operates both the soundbar and the tv, easy bluetooth connectivity, has a wall mount kit and various sound settings. The sound settings are awesome- Dolby Audio which adjusts the volume to enhance what your watching. I like the Built in center speaker which delivers enhanced dialogue no matter what the background sound is. This helps me because I have a puppy who has a loud bark at least now I can still hear my favorite shows. The Subwoofer with bass boost has powerful bass sound effects. I use the Voice enhanced mode- it optimizes the equalizer so you can hear voices clearer. This feature help me when I'm working out, it separates the background music from the trainer's voice and makes the words easier to hear. Night mode- lowers the bass to keep from disturbing others at night. I don't play the tv too loud at night because I love to fall asleep with it on..so I am not using the night made. I personally like the fact that you can connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously to share control of the soundbar which allows you to play music from different devices. I connected the tv to Alexa since the remote has voice control you just press the button and talk. It's fascinating to talk into the remote and the tv does exactly what you say. The sound is rich and immerses you in whatever show or movie you are watching. I watched Jurrasic Park and The Transformers and I felt like the dinosaurs and robots were in the room with me. I am extremely pleased with my soundbar. I guess Samsung has impressed me once again!

Samsung HW B550D
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very pleased with the sound of this Samsung Sound bar (HW-B550D) after tweaking equalizer and CH Level settings. The included instructions for use were quite vague leaving me to seek more information online on which settings would give me the best experience from both my TV and the Samsung Sound bar (HW-B550D).
There is an included optical cord for sound that connects to both your TV and sound bar, but I chose not to use it. The Samsung Sound bar (HW-B550D) was easily connected and setup using an HDMI cable. Unfortunately an HDMI cable is not included but thankfully I had a few extras in my home from a previous purchase. The system easily connects to my phone via Bluetooth allowing me to listen to music with a very immersive experience.
Sound is crisp, the bass booms, and I can can easily hear even soft voices and smaller background noises, like the clink of coins in an actor's hands. I feel this is enhanced by the Built-in Center Speaker. The Sub Woofer with Bass Boost gives that big bass sound that enhances the sound of both music and movies tremendously. I can feel the boom of the bass along my floor adding to my experience, perfect for those big monster or dinosaur movies.
I was quite surprised my sound level using this system is at 9 compared to my old sound bar that was set at 14 or higher. The Voice Enhanced setting is great for those shows or movies that have very low dialog. With my previous sound bar I quite frequently used closed captioning so that I would not miss any key dialog. Using this system I have not had to use it.
I originally tried this sound bar in my living room with a vaulted ceiling. While the sound was nice, it didn’t fill the room like I had originally hoped. I moved it to my 20' x 20' bonus room which is where the performance of the Dolby Audio / DTS Virtual:X was really experienced. The sound is very immersive in a smaller room and perfect for my needs.
Night Mode works perfectly for when I watch TV late at night and do not want to disturb the rest of the house with the boom of the bass.
I appreciate the ease of setup and the slim design of the woofer. While there is a small display to show current settings, I feel a larger, more easy to read display screen would be a better option.
I recommend this for a smaller room unless purchasing the wire-free back speaker bundle with the sound bar for a more immersive experience in rooms that are larger or have very tall ceilings.

Mighty Sound

I already had a Samsung Soundbar, but for some reason it no longer paired with my TV. I am going to connect it with another TV. I decided it was time for an update!
The Samsung Soundbar (HW-B550D) is awesome! The sound is bold and fills my room. The sound is so rich it feels very similar to being in a movie theater! Sound is so important to me as I don't have the best hearing.
I watch TV with closed captioning, but having mighty sound is even more of a rewarding experience! Who needs to go to the movies?!
I dislike having to always turn up the volume, especially living in a condo situation!
As for setting up the soundbar:
I had a tough time setting up the Soundbar. First, I tried via Bluetooth, and it wouldn't pair with the TV, only my phone. When I finally paired it with my TV, there was no sound. I realized I needed an HDMI cable.
Unfortunately, this Soundbar did not come with an HDMI cable, thankfully, I had one from a previous device. After about 30 minutes of trying to set it up, I realized the lack of an HDMI cable was the issue.
The Samsung Soundbar HW-B550D is amazing! I am so excited to have such powerful sound when I enjoy my shows and movies!
Dolby Audio / DTS Virtual:X - You can't go wrong with surround sound! This option adjusts the volume to enhance content. Let the speakers do the work so you experience your entertainment.
The Built-In Center Speaker is great! This feature offers enhanced dialogue so I won't miss a word of dialogue. This is usually my biggest pet peeve when closed captioning isn't available.
Subwoofer with Bass Boost - I love this feature! I've never had this, so I love the when I get that deep sound!
Voice Enhanced - I use this feature to help me capture voice clarity.
Night Mode - since I live in a condo and share walls, I use this in the evening to keep from disturbing my neighbors! This feature lowers the bass sound.
This Samsung Soundbar was worth the upgrade.

For the price point it is hard to believe you would get so much. I love this sound series and will absolutely stay with Samsung all because of the experience I've had.

Great Speaker with Great Base
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] To Start I absolutely love the sound quality of the speaker and sub. The built in center speaker really changes the sound in the room and makes you feel like you are in the movie or tv show yourself. The remote is sleek with an ergonomic feel in your hand. You were able to adjust the volume of the speaker and the subwoofer straight from the remote. Set up was really easy for the speaker and enjoyed putting it together. The only downside I have to the speaker is that the screen where you see the volume is on the right side, I wish it were in a different place maybe on top of the speaker as well as on the right side. Overall, I tested the speaker with the sub on my cheap TV from the store as well as my more expensive Samsung tv and the quality of sound was amazing! The subwoofer really does a great job with the lower tones and sounds really good! I would absolutely purchase the speaker again and get it for friends and family as a gift for them to enjoy the sounds of their TV better. The Voice Enhanced feature is also a really great feature that makes the quality of tv shows 100x better! I also love how the speaker looks like it is floating on your wall. It really helps add to the no hook no mount look that a lot of people are going for.
