Greatly enhances sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sound bar greatly enhances the audio experience of a Samsung television with standard rear projection. Without the sound bar it is necessary to increase volume for clarity. The 550F is a reasonably priced system which allows for excellent pitch in dialogue while contributing an immersive movie experience. I don't miss the surround sound system we had at my previous house, it is that good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was messing with the calibration the other day and adjusted the bass to where all i would hear was the clarity in the dialog and i was fully immersed in the whole sound. Great product.

Great sound. Easy setup.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was replacing an older unit that has begun to have connection issues between the bar and subwoofer. The older unit was more than 10 years old, also a Samsung. This unit fell into a lower price point than my previous bar, but I have been very pleased. The sound quality is excellent. I use the digital optical connecting for TV and BluRay and i use the BT for streaming music from my phone. My room is 20x20, with vaulted ceilings and openings into the kitchen and autumnal rooms. My typical viewing/listening distance is around 17 feet. I usually have the volume set 20-30 depending on the feed, so there is plenty of room to go. I have maxed the volume when viewing a source with very low audio and nothing was distorted. For movies and live streaming church service I will sometimes get the volume into the 50-60 range, enough to rattle things in other rooms but still sounds great in here. Dialogue is usually very good, but depends on the movie or show, I just don't think the audio recordings are mixed well anymore.

Great Soundbar with Clear Dialogue & Powerful Bass
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung HW-B550F has been a great upgrade over my TV’s built-in speakers. The 2.1-channel setup provides a much fuller sound, and the wireless subwoofer adds strong, satisfying bass without overpowering everything else. Movies, music, and games all have noticeably more impact and immersion.
Setup and calibration were simple, and it did not take much adjustment to get the sound balanced for my room. Dialogue comes through clearly, even during scenes with a lot of music or background noise. The overall clarity is excellent, with voices, sound effects, and music remaining distinct instead of blending together.
The subwoofer delivers plenty of low-end punch during action scenes, but it can also be adjusted when I want something more subtle. The soundbar creates a wider and more immersive listening experience than I expected from a relatively compact system.
My only complaint is the volume difference between apps. Most streaming apps need to be turned up into the 70 range to reach a comfortable listening level, while YouTube usually only needs to be around 15–20. That seems to be more related to differences in how the apps handle audio, but it can be a little inconvenient when switching between them.
Overall, I am very happy with the bass, dialogue clarity, sound balance, and immersive experience. It is a solid, easy-to-use soundbar that makes everyday TV watching much more enjoyable.
