Theater sound

Perfect Soundbar for My Neo QLED TV

Sound changer

Great sound from all speakers. Clear surround sound. Extra points for dolby atmos and dts:x option. For a soundbar, you cant ask or get better than this. Im happy with this and would recommend .

The best soundbar ive owned

The surround effects are top tier with this sound bar makes movies sound like your at a theater. I love it

Best sound bar solution
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this surround sound setup. Purchased it because I have Samsung OLED and it syncs with the TV speakers providing 11.1.4 sound and it does a great job. Have nothing but great things to say about the Q990D. Its sound quality and sync ability with the TV is the ONLY reason I purchased a second Samsung OLED (S95D 77"). All the ports on the Direct Connect box on my 1st TV stopped working so the DirectConnect is basically a very large power supply now. Would not have purchased new S95D but took a chance because the Q990D is just that good. Unfortunately, new S95D has failed two separate times leaving my TV dead each time. On the good side, the second TV keeps failing within its warranty! The 1st TV had the Connect Box ports fail shortly after the warranty ended. Note - I will not buy a third Samsung OLED no matter how much I like the Q990D.

Symphony Sounds

Our Primary Hi-Fi Sound System

The Q990D has been a delight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I paired this up with my older Samsung QN90A 4K TV and a Panasonic DP-UB9000P1K 4K UHD Blu-ray Player. The combination makes for a really outstanding 4K UHD video watching experience.
The so-called "atmos bubble" really is a thing and is very apparent. The one unexpected benefit is the voice enhancement mode. It really makes a big difference in being able to hear the character dialog even in scenes that are audibly busy. It's not obvious, though, unless you turn off voice enhancement to see what it's been doing. It just does its job very well and in an unobtrusive manner.
The only nit to pick has to do with my Android streaming box, an NVidia Shield. I use that box for general streaming (youtube, amazon video, etc.). Every so often, when switching between apps on the shield, the Q990D will lose the audio data stream. Turning it off, then back on fixes the issue, but it is annoying. That being said, I can't say for sure that it's not the QN90A that's the problem...or some interaction between the two, so I can't really take a star from the Q990D.

One of the best purchases of audio devices ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I paired the Samsung S990 soundbar with my S90D OLED TV, and together they’ve completely transformed my living room into a true home theater. The S990 delivers outstanding, room-filling sound with incredible clarity and depth. The Dolby Atmos and Q-Symphony features make a huge difference — audio feels like it’s moving all around you, creating an immersive 3D effect that perfectly matches the stunning visuals of the S90D. Justs played a youtube video for Dolby Atmos testing and I am immediately in awe.
Music and movies sound equally impressive. Dialogue is crystal clear, even at low volume, while bass is rich and tight without overpowering other tones. Action scenes have real impact, yet quiet moments retain every subtle detail. The soundbar’s design is sleek and modern. Setup was simple, and wireless connectivity worked flawlessly right out of the box, no clutter with rear speakers or the sub. I did struggle a bit due to connecting to wrong HDMI port, but just a minor confusion, nothing big.
Combined with the S90D, the S990 makes every movie night feel cinematic. It’s powerful, refined, and easy to use — easily the best sound system I’ve owned. If you want theater-quality sound at home, this is the one to get.

Amazing Sound

I love the rear speakers and they add a lot to movies. Make sure it is set up properly for the Dolby Atmos as it took me a while to get it to it's full potential with the fire stick.

Excellent sound and accurate surround ability

Good balance of treble and bass (though I typically enjoy things to be a bit bass heavy) it’s very sleek design and looks great on the mantle. The seamless pairing to the frame TV was a driving factor in the choice and works exactly as I hoped it would.

Easy setup and Amazing Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a receiver with a 5.1 setup before purchasing this soundbar. This soundbar not only sounds better, but it was easier to setup and calibrate. I have had it for a few months and have zero complaints or issues, only great audio! I mainly use the sound bar for gaming and movies. The audio is always crisp, immersive, and top-notch. I would highly recommend this series of a soundbar to anyone.

Best bar I have ever heard
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually mostly for TV shows and movies but the sound is great. My wife often makes me pause the sound to make sure that no one is in the house because the sound truly become for every direction and it's easily heard. Our bedroom ceiling is vaulted and the sound still bounces properly around us as if we were in the middle of everything. I'm definitely thinking about getting another one for another room in the house.

The Dolby Atmos and DTS:X effects are unreal — you can actually feel sound coming from above and behind, thanks to the rear speakers and those upward-firing drivers. It’s like being dropped right into the middle of a movie scene. What surprised me most was how clear everything sounds: dialogue is sharp, even during loud action scenes, and the bass is deep without being overwhelming. Whether I’m gaming, watching movies, or just streaming music, it sounds incredible. Setup was easy, and the wireless rear speakers make the whole system feel clean and modern. Honestly, it’s the best upgrade I’ve made to my home setup in years.

Super easy to set up. Basically just plugged it in and attached to my TV and it was up and running. I rarely have to fiddle with the audio settings unless I switch it to night mode.

I have the previous year's, and it sold me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I redid my finished basement into a media room and bar and after having the previous year's version in my living room, it was not even up for debate in what I would be using for this project. A lot of what I like is not really having to touch the sound bar remote because it just works and works right. I cannot turn it all the way up as it would be way too loud down there. It fills up the room no matter if I am watching a movie or listening to music videos and I ran sound professionally.

Great soundbar systerm

The sound truly shines when playing video games on my ps5 it allows me to pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from in the video game and that totally makes the immersion fantastic.
In movies they create sounds that rival a cinematic experience and i have zero regrets purchasing this system.
The volume is plenty loud and the bass is great. I couldn’t ask for more!!
