Let’s talk sound quality — it’s genuinely mindblowing. Rich, layered audio fills the room, and the 11.1.4 channel setup delivers immersive surround sound from all angles, including overhead. Big Sound in a Beautiful Package
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn't my first Samsung Dolby Atmos soundbar, but this is by far the best one yet. At first glance, they significantly change the aesthetic. They ditched the cloth cover in favor of a metallic shell, with a very pleasing grid pattern along the length of it. The subwoofer now has two drivers instead of one, and it absolutely pounds the bassline of my favorite Sleep Token songs. If you have a newer Samsung TV, the Q-Symphony feature is something you have to witness to understand. It allows your TV speakers to be incorporated as additional channels, creating an even deeper atmosphere for movies and shows. I absolutely love the improvements Samsung made this year to their flagship soundbar.

Incredible Atmos Surround Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently picked up the Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar with the subwoofer and rear speakers to upgrade our movie setup, and it’s honestly been amazing. Right out of the box, setup was surprisingly easy—everything synced wirelessly in just a few minutes using the SmartThings app.
The first thing we watched was the race scene from Ready Player One, and it seriously blew us away. The Dolby Atmos surround effect was incredible; it felt like the action was happening all around the room. Dialogue is crystal clear, and everything just sounds crisp and detailed, whether it’s movies, TV shows, or even gaming.
My one small gripe is that the soundbar itself is pretty big—way bigger than I was expecting—so make sure you’ve got the space for it. And while the subwoofer sounds good, the bass isn’t quite as punchy or powerful as some other systems I’ve had, even when I crank up the settings.
But honestly, the overall sound quality more than makes up for that. The rear speakers and upward-firing drivers really fill out the room and make it feel like a genuine home theater setup. It’s easily the most immersive audio experience I’ve had at home.
If you’re thinking about stepping up your audio game, especially for movies or gaming, this setup is totally worth it. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the incredible Atmos surround sound and clarity definitely justify it. I can’t imagine watching movies without it now.

Simply awesome
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unboxing my new Soundbar I could tell this was a quality product. The sleek compact design I appreciate. I was worried setting up my new system would take a while but boy was I wrong. Paired with my 75" Samsung TV installation couldn't have been easier. Simply plug in each of the components and connect to tv using the included hdmi cable. The wireless rear speakers and Subwoofer paired instantly and that was it. I question whether or not I needed to upgrade from my previous Soundbar. I'm so glad I did. The sound is amazing. I didn't know what i was missing. I highly recommend the Samsung Q-Series Soundbar HW-Q990F 11.1.4 ch l Subwoofer + Rear Speaker

Fantastic Soundbar, Wow sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This soundbar is amazing 10/10 on every front. It was a great addition to our home entertainment space. The smart features with SmartThings, Wireless connection make setup a breeze and we were enjoying it in under 10 minutes. From Movies to TV shows the sound fills the room and creates a wonderful soundstage. We change between SpaceFit sound and Adaptive sound based on our media. The Game Mode Pro really takes gaming to next level. Our kids love the gaming with this soundbar. The newly designed Subwoofer is a real deal and can trounce sound from much much expensive audio systems.
The design is so clean and gets lot of compliments. Samsung has knocked this one out of the park!

The dialogue is so crisp and clear and for such a small subwoofer the bass is nothing to complain about. It is small but it packs a mighty punch. The speakers can get very loud without any distortion and I like that the surround speakers are wireless. Save me the work of running cable through the walls. BT and SmartThings connected quickly. Playing music via BT was seamless and sounds very good. If you are looking for an soundbar this is very much one to consider.

GREAT SOUND BAR
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this sound bar. One of the unique features it offers is a privet rear setting (not available on other sound bars. It turns off the front speakers and woofer. This is absolutely a great feature when you are watching a movie and no one else wants to hear it in the house. All the other setting on the app allow you to tune the system to any sound preferences you like. The system has more than enough power to shake the house in action movies or music. I use this system in an 18 x 20 bedroom and it does a good job. It is a not the 7.1 sound system with my paradigm speakers and a Denon AVR-X2800H in my theater room, but it is less than 1/10 the cost. I THINK IT IS WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!!

Flagship Level Sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung is back with their latest premium soundbar for 2025. They have held the crown for best premium soundbar for the last couple of years, so I couldn’t wait to see what they had up their sleeve with this year’s iteration.
I think most people were looking for some enhancements to the system’s design. Enter the HW-Q990F.
The bar keeps the same overall design as previous years, but Samsung made a change to the subwoofer and a slight color change. The bar has a more rigged look on the top of the bar, this is really the only distinguishing factor when comparing previous years soundbars.
The subwoofer is much smaller and compact. It has two 8-inch drivers that delivers an immersive sound when paired with the bar and surrounds.
After listening to several movies and music, the soundbar sounds much better than previous versions due to the voice clarity and the bass response of the system as a whole.
The HW-Q990F can be setup fairly easy by using the SmartThings app.

The sound of the HW-Q990F has a much cleaner, clearer and better all-around sound than previous years in my opinion. The soundbar does everything really well. The voice clarity is much better this year. The bass response is better overall, and music sounds really good. You can’t go wrong with HW-Q990F. Is the HW-Q990F worth it because of the new subwoofer?
I would say yes due to the dual driver sub, and the much cleaner and detailed sound.

So Incredibly Worth It!

When unbridled, this thing will rock your chest with deep, quality bass. At the same time, you don't lose any of the crisp or rich sounds that you'd want to also be hearing from your shows or movies.
This home audio system is one of my new favorite pieces of tech. I love how programmable and versatile it is. More and more these days we find ourselves needing equipment to amplify voices during loud battles or be able to play a thunderous scene while the baby is asleep in the other room. This is by far the best at achieving all of those things in one sleek, attractive package!

Excellent Sound Stage

This soundbar replaced our old 5.1 surround sound with a separate receiver. It is definitely a space saver for a living room and the new redesigned subwoofer is compact and small enough but Powerful!
This soundbar produced amazing Dolby Atmos sound stage which was enveloping and definitely I felt like I was sitting in a movie theater! The dialogue in any situation is heard well and there is even a Booster feature if you need to make it even more clear. SmartThings app has a number of options to tweak your settings, get it connected to Spotify as well as Roon music service specifically designed for this Samsung soundbar.
I really like the new design, the best sound and enjoy playing my playlists everything morning. Amazing soundbar and build quality!

The Sound of Music

This is the ultimate surround sound! I was simply amazed by the sound that came from this sound system. This is for a movie room but the fact that i have it in my bedroom made it even more of an experience. I paired this with the OLED S95F for the Q-Symphony feature. I LOVE IT! As almost any guy will hear the saying thats to loud. I take that as a badge of honor because watching this with any movie has been an experience. The 11.1.4 full surround comes thru in full effect and is perfect for any show. Did i mention it connects to my phone and music apps? Well let me tell you it does with perfect integration. I cant wait to get home and find something to watch, anything to watch just for the sound alone. The rear speakers are paired perfectly with this system and the sub packs on some serious bass. The quality of the sound is what is most impressive. I have not had to turn it up half way yet and the settings make the smallest adjustment perfect. I cant wait to invite company over just so they can get a change to experience at home movie theater sound at the control of your fingertips. I would recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade or just looking for the finishing touch to their home theater.

Amazing All-In-One Soundbar!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung HW-Q990F has far exceeded my expectations. The 11.4 channel system is super immersive and almost feels as if you’re completely surrounded by sound in a sphere. The bass is loud and clean especially with the Bass Enhancement dynamic control feature.
The dialogue is clear with Active Voice Amplifier Pro and SpaceFit Surround Pro. However, Voice Enhancement was kind of harsh and fatiguing, so I turned it off. Moderate bass is a nice feature to quickly turn bass off instead of changing woofer level while still getting a nice sounding low frequency boost at soundbar. One feature that would be nice to add is the crossover frequency for the sub and speakers to minimize sub localization.
One complaint I have is that you can only EQ with bands in Standard mode (7.1.4 max channels) and not Surround mode (11.1.4 max channels). The setup sounds so much better EQ’d, so it is a bummer you lose out on 4 channels if you stick with EQ’d Standard mode.
While the price is on the higher side, the performance justifies it for those looking to upgrade their home theater. Plus, you don’t need to run wires or buy a receiver. I highly recommend this soundbar. It is one of the best I’ve heard.

Cinema Sound at Home

The all new Samsung Q990F soundbar has claimed the crown again and deservedly so. This soundbar system is sleek, stylish, elegant, and will give you that true cinema experience at home.
Upon receiving the soundbar I unboxed everything which were all nicely packaged. Setting up the soundbar was easy since it just required plugging in everything and connecting my game and TV source thru HDMI and it was all ready to go. Connecting the soundbar to my Smartthings app on my S25 Ultra was easy and allowed me to control the soundbar without having to worry about the remote.
Now what makes this the best soundbar is the sound that it produces to make it feel like you're at the cinema. Upon watching something you immediately know the powerful sound that the soundbar can fill the room with. Explosions can be felt, speeding cars can heard beside you, and dialogue will feel like its in your presence. The soundbar has a lot of great modes that can be switched to suit whichever media you're watching such as adaptive sound that changes the sound with different scenes for example. Space fit sound pro plus is really cool because it maps out the room the soundbar is set in to adjust the sound profile to the best for the room. Game mode pro also made playing the PS5 more immersive and fun. I'd also like to add that the new double subwoofer design looks awesome and produces bass that packs a real punch, kudos to Samsung.

The best gets better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've spent the past few days with the newly released Samsung HW-Q990F, and it's safe to say this system seriously impresses on all fronts. Coming from the HW-Q990C, which was already a powerhouse, I didn’t expect such noticeable upgrades—but Samsung delivered.
Design-wise, the Q990F looks nearly identical to the Q990C, but the top panel has been cleaned up a bit, giving it a slightly sleeker appearance. Nothing major, but a small refinement that feels nice.
Now let’s talk about sound—because wow. The clarity and separation on the Q990F have jumped to a level that genuinely feels close to high-end separate speaker systems. Whether you're watching a movie with complex surround effects or just listening to layered music tracks, each element stands out with precision. The soundstage is wide and immersive, with pinpoint placement that adds a cinematic depth you don’t often get from a soundbar system.
The subwoofer deserves a special mention. It’s compact but manages to produce incredibly deep, loud, and controlled bass. In dynamic movie scenes or bass-heavy music, it hits hard without being muddy or overwhelming. Compared to my Q990C, the bass on the Q990F is slightly less punchy, but it makes up for that with better texture and responsiveness—it’s more nuanced and dynamic, which adds to the overall experience.
I also appreciate the visual EQ and settings through the SmartThings app. It’s not perfect, but it gives you easy access to tweak the sound and fine-tune the system without diving into complicated menus.
That said, I do have a couple of small gripes. I wish the bass had just a bit more raw punch like the Q990C—it’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something I noticed. And for a flagship soundbar, it’s disappointing that Samsung still hasn’t upgraded the remote. With their high-end TVs getting solar rechargeable remotes, it feels like the Q990F should’ve gotten that treatment too.
Still, those are minor complaints in what is otherwise the best flagship soundbar experience I’ve had. The HW-Q990F takes everything great about its predecessor and refines it into something even more impressive. For anyone serious about audio and home theater, I don't think there's a better option in one box.
