what a high dollar microwave should be
after using this microwave for a month, I can truly say it is the best one that I've ever had. You do have to disable the locking door safety B/S to enjoy the oven to its full potential though.

Sharp microwave quality and reliability above the
We’ve been happy with our countertop Sharp microwave since we purchased it two months ago. We have had Sharp microwaves in the past and the longevity and reliability of the Sharp oven prompted this recent purchase. The defrost and timed cooking cycles are effective, along with the sound insulation. The interior cooking space is large and accommodates most cooking containers.

Great buy!
Sharp is the only microwave I have ever bought. This is my 3rd in 30 years. Never a complaint nor issues with any of them. They just wore out. I love my new one which has some great added features like the door lock and +30 and melting preset that I did not have before. I also found the price to be reasonable given it has been at least 10 years since I bought a new microwave. Also I liked purchasing directly from Sharp. So, thank you!

Good microwave with a major construction problem
The sharp microwave I gave three stars only because as a microwave it works very well. However, its construction is very cheap. It's made out of extremely thin sheets of metal. And on the bottom where the feet are located, they are inserted into the thin sheet of metal through holes that are drilled and sharp and have not been smoothed out so they're very cutting. In fact two of the four rubber feet that are part of microwave were sliced partway through on arrival i'm placing it on the counter they sliced all the way through. After a lot of trouble going back-and-forth with customer service they finally agreed to send me four more rubber feet for the microwave. Because of the friction of the rubber feet on the counter I knew if I tried to move it they would all slice off again so I got some felt stick on pads to put on the bottom of the rubber feet so it would slide on the counter without tearing the rubber feet off because any sideways motion on them will cut them in half because of the sharp holes drilled in the bottom of the microwave where they insert the rubber feet. I think it is an extremely poor design and I Would suggest to anyone buying it to make sure ahead of time to be careful when positioning it or moving it because the feet will easily cut off.
