DONT BUY THIS!
We have been back and forth with Sharp for months! Waited 7 months for it....didnt work....was repaired twice....still didn't work....replaced unit.....still didn't work....was repaired....still didn't work! Heating unit was inconsistent...would work for a day or two and then stop heating. This is the simple microwave part....we didn't even get a chance to try all the other things it supposedly did. Finally after calling every day for a month, Sharp
reimbursed us. Buying a simpler unit that has tried and true reviews to back it up. Unfortunately we need a new cabinet because the size is different.

How much space is alloted for the electrical outlet box to plug in the SMD2499FS microwave oven? It appears like there is a cut out area at the back of the oven? How much room do we have to install a box, since we only have 24" deep space.
