I added LED lights to the unit and it was very simple to change the bulbs.The stainless finish is great. I would not look for any other brand to install in my moterhome.

It was in our RV and withstood 106,000 miles of driving around across America. It made many a long day driving easier to fix a meal and warmed up a second cup of coffee before hitting the road! It still had the original turntable, too. My husband took the old one apart for screws and said that it was solidly built and worth more than we paid...and he still has his first dime he's so frugal! However the machine is not a year old yet and the front panel has melted. It has melted from the inside out. I have called Sharp for service and they have set up service calls that never come!!!!! It has been three weeks since I started with Sharp and I still have not gotten a service person here yet! The worst company ever.

If needed, can this unit only vent through the front panel?

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to assist you. The Sharp R1874TY can be configured to vent strictly through its top-front grille using its built-in ductless recirculating mode. The microwave arrives from the factory pre-arranged for this exact setup [R-1874 | R-1880LS Installation Instructions], which utilizes an internal blower fan to pull air from the cooktop below, pass it through an internal grease and charcoal filter, and exhaust it right back into the kitchen through the front panel without requiring any external wall or roof ductwork. Good morning, I am mounting this in a motorhome. How does it mount on the back of the unit? Thanks Troy

The two Long bolts go underneath in the front and the angle toward the top of the back into the mounting bracket that&rsquo;s on the wall therefore it&rsquo;s pulling upward and toward the back that&rsquo;s how it supports it. That&rsquo;s basically the way all the RV units used to be made with the microwaves, especially in slide outs, so too long bolts underneath angle toward the top back and they go into the screw holes of the mounting bracket that you mount on the outside wall any other questions please let me know. I used talk to txt some words may be misspelled sorry

Replacement for Sharp r 1850A?Looking to replace original in RV.

I used this to replace the original in my RV, I can&rsquo;t remember the original model # however this is the only microwave on the market that has the long bottom bolts that angle from the bottom front to the upper backside wall mounting bracket! &nbsp;If that&rsquo;s what you&rsquo;re looking for, mine is in a slide out and cannot fasten directly out of the top like many of the older RV&rsquo;s. &nbsp;
