Will this extension kit work with microwave SMD2499FS
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to assist you. The Sharp SKMD30E9ES extension kit was engineered exclusively for the SMD2489ES standard microwave drawer model. It is not physically compatible with the Sharp SMD2499FS, which is a combination convection microwave drawer. Because the convection model features a significantly taller front face and different ventilation/heat exhaust requirements to safely handle standard baking and roasting, the brackets and physical dimensions of the standard 24-inch extension panels will not line up.

are these trim pieces able to be cut to width? Can I use a 30" wide opening and trim them to fit the 24" microwave for a flush install?
