Greatest shovel ever made!
Every house should have one of these, the assisted handle is genius! As I age, the shovel is a godsend and saves me time and pain. No more bending over to shovel and the position of the handles makes it feel lighter and easier to pick up and dispose of more snow. I've owned this shovel for many years now, and it's still doing it's job during NJ winters! This is certainly a 5-star product! (BTW This is an honest, unpaid, non-incentive review)

Great back saver, does the job.
I've used this shovel for 2 years now in some very heavy snow and love it. The spring handle keeps me from having to really bend down to lift the load and makes my throw spring loaded, which is great when trying to throw over the top of 6' drifts. As far as design and ergonomics go, it's great. I do notice that the aluminum wear strip drags on concrete or pavers (thus only 4 stars), steel would work better. I would definitely buy again for the ease on the back with the ergonomic design.

A better shovel while it lasted.
This shovel is improved from many others and was first choice for the time it lasted. With improved design the assist handle steel might not break.

Shovelution not for pushing
The design of this shovel is great for moving snow, but NOT for pushing snow. The wear strip is cheap and badly attached and has come of before the end of winter. So, if you buy this one do NOT push snow, just shovel it, because pushing the snow will wear the metal strip right off the shovel.

Good first years my joe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shovel was amazing for the first years. Bue now, the plastic part (on the ground, to pickup snow) is cracked and the spring action is alot more floppy than it was the first years. Overall, lasted longer than other shovels. But could use a new one at this point. Back then it was supposed to be warrenty for life but can find any more information about that.

Cheap plastic head
This was featured on the shopping channel. We purchased 3 and all of the worked great but after a year the cheap plastic head broke on all of them. I would not recommend.

Horrible Blade Material!
This shovel has a great design, but is garbage with the aluminum shoveling edge!!! Aluminum is too soft and does not slide over cement!!! It actually makes shoveling more difficult!!! In fact, the aluminum is grinding away on the concrete!!! I have only used it several times, and the edge is not looking like it will last the two year warranty!!! I bought two of these! What a huge waste of money!!! Whomever at Sloe Joe allowed this to go into production, should be fired!!!
