Nice upgrade from Gen 1 Connect
Moved in to a house with a nice Gen 1 system - 5 Connect amps hardwired to passive speakers in almost every room of the house. Loved that system, but it was pretty limited by contemporary standards. Biggest thing was no AirPlay with Gen 1. Recently took advantage of the Sonos upgrade deal for a very nifty discount on 5 Amps, 1 Port, and a Roam 2. The sound quality of the new Amps is noticeably superior to the Connects. AirPlay is essential. I also love the mono setting for one of our rooms where stereo just never sounded right. Great upgrade, worth every penny.

Fantastic Powerful 2.1 Amp
I wanted to move from a 3.1 stereo system to a 2.1 as we enjoy the setup for movies and music (and found the center channel was so so in a 3,1). I have non Sonos speakers connected, and with the amp's Phantom Centre channel sound, it sounds phenomenal. With the airplay 2 in it and the ARC, hit all expectations.

LOVE love the AMP!

Probably only need the one!
Bought the amp to power the Klipsch in-walls installed when I was running black boxes of living room audio equipment. This allows me to remove the SL Ones (and stands) as my surrounds. So far, they actually sound better than the SL Ones. Easy set up. Despite the harsh comments about Sonos lately, my system is running fine, including this latest addition!

Impressive
I always pushed back on the simple Sonos systems opting for 7+ channel receivers but the sound quality in my home is simply better with Sonos and I love the seamless multiroom syncing. Maybe a large 8 speaker system has more range, less distortion, can sound better, but Sonos is better in practice.

I might buy again
The product is easy to set up, by a technician. Good wireless signal. Will stream my music from the TV, computer, phone seamlessly without any intervention from me. But the box stopped working a few months after installation. We were a few days out of warranty and the company wouldn't send a new one. They did send a refurbished unit under warranty. I would buy again at the advise of my local tech.

Solves multiple problems
Bit by bit we have relegated older systems : 78's, 45's, reel to reel, cassette decks and CD changers, to the attic. Are we nostalgic and sad ? Between just a tad and a wee bit. The sonos amp is a solution that allows us to continue to enjoy our long ago installed in-wall and in-ceiling speakers with the addition of an A-B speaker switch. We spun our wheels for several years trying to find a component solution to allow for streaming and powerful enough to drive the incumbent speakers. A Brennan B3 deck is available to the sonos app as a network shared volume. The sonos amp is absurdly simple. It used to be that the more you spent on a component the more buttons, wires, knobs you got. I suppose if at any point we want to play scratchy old vinyl we can easily add a turntable to the amp. We also have coordinated music in multiple rooms now with sonos speakers.

Great product. Excellent customer service
The amp I bought came defective. The right channel was not working. I spoke to the customer service rep who was very helpful. Sonos stands behind their products! They were willing to replace it at no charge and made it quick and easy to do. The amp works great and sounds incredible. I set up landscape speakers with it. Thanks Sonos!
