Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally able to stream to my own speakers! I purchased the Port so that I could stream music through my stereo system. It works flawlessly with my 30+ YO receiver/amp and my Polk speakers. I love that I can use it with my Sonos One to play the same music in different parts of the house. The Port was simple to set up, and now I have access to my full music library on my stereo system!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I connect my QSC power speakers to my home system I purchased the port to add my turntable to my system. But that port allows you to do so much more. Especially if you DJ or in a band with equipment you can easily add to Sonos with the Port. It's awesome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old School Meets New School There are some things that cannot be replaced. I have been a hi-fi enthusiast for 50 years. In 1976, I bought a pair Bose 901 Series II Continental Speakers with equalizer. that I play to this day, powered by a McIntosh MA6600 Integrated Amp, with one input, a Sonos Port, streaming my music library from a PC, or Pandora. Nothing like cranking up the volume with, Gershwin, Brubeck, Santana, and other 60's music on the old 901's. I have a 3 room Sonos configuration to play music through the entire house, and/or outside. Love the ease of setup, and flexibility of the Sonos system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick Uptime Purchase was to create an outdoor music area and eventually expand back indoors. So far the outdoor area is awesome paired with Sonance Garden Series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes I stream from an Ethernet switch directly to a high end DAC using the Sonos Port bypass setting. The number of music sources are around 91!!!! Software is extremely easy to use via the Sonos app!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I did buy a second unit for a different system. 2 pre-existing non-Sonos systems. Used Connect units to stream. One eventually failed after many years, replaced it with the new Port. Couldn't believe the sonic improvements from the new DAC and other electronics. Bought second Port for other system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Product We design sound masking systems which include background music in client/patient corridors. The Sonos Port was integrated into our SM system to provide a BG music source. The Port has now become our go to for all our newly designed SM systems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In with the new, but keep your old Crazy how with this device I can now hear my music & not worry about interruptions like phone notifications to include an incoming call. Music continues to play. I love it! Keep your old equipment (in my case Yamaha receiver) & simply hook up your sonos into it under an auxiliary input or any other available channel. Change your output to that channel & poof...You're good to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Port is awesome for streaming. Great sound. I bought the Sonos Port to stream music through a full house HTD music system I just installed to replace an old Nuvo Grand Concerto system. It was very easy to set up (I have a basic skill level) and I now have full streaming capability with Alexa control, which I primarily use with Spotify (all day). The sound is awesome. I had to dial the volume output setting on the Port down to 80% because I couldn't set the volume low enough in some rooms without doing so. It has plenty of volume... more than an Echo device I use as another source input that I have to run at Max volume. It still sounds good too though. Love the HTD system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive, but simply works. It simply works! Works fantastic. So, I had already gotten into the Sonos ecosystem buying (2) Fives and (4) Ones to coordinate whole-home music for a party. I had been using an older Apple TV (purchased circa 2016) for streaming iTunes to an older receiver (purchased circa 2004) whose only modernized connectivity is optical or coax digital but otherwise still runs perfectly. This worked for a few years, but something happened circa 2019 or so and it became very hit-or-miss. I attempted to use a new Apple TV via HDMI adapter, and it did actually synchronize with the Sonos system, but like the previous Apple TV it had issues randomly dropping the stream. So, I bit and got the Port. Very expensive, but you know what? No buyer's remorse. It just works and works well. It doesn't do more than CD quality, but I kind of doubt I can hear more than that. Now, for editing, yes, you want extra bit depth to mix down. Not necessary for listening (at least for me). Plus, the 2.4 GHz band in my area is congested by about 20 wifi networks, so slower data is better in that respect. Had this for about 6 months and not one hiccup. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, works perfectly! The Port feeds into my stereo receiver which powers two pairs of indoor speakers and two pairs of patio speakers. It was easy to set up and works perfectly with my other Sonos products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised The setup and integration of this equipment is not quite intuitive. But Sonos customer support is excellent and was able to sort it out in a few moments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple streaming setup! Swapped an outdated appletv with the port for stream Wi-Fi connect to our receiver with 8 pairs of old school speakers. The connectivity was fast and simple, and everything works great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Way to modernize using top quality speakers - PORT My PORT is set up to drive an Onkyo Power Amplifier and a pair of Bose 901 speakers. I have Sonos speakers too in other places, but their sound quality cannot match that of the 901s, so the PORT was the perfect solution. I have a 20 x 30 office area, and I can control my PORTfrom my computer. My PORT is hard-wired (10Gbps LAN), so the music never skips or stalls. I can also link it up to my other Sonos systems (I have 3 AMPs, a soundbar, and a couple of portable speakers) and control them all as one system or manage each individually. The system is connected to a Synology NAS (Network Accessible Storage) where I keep all my music, so when COX internet fails me (which it often does), my music remains uninterrupted. This is what Multi-Room music should be!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Port is a must! This is THE BEST product. It has reduced my need for my oknyo amp which was huge. And the port is so small....only thing.....don't get frustrated when setting it up as the directions are not clear. In my case I followed all the info on the app but had no sound. First thing I missed was to find out if my turntable contained a pre amp...I dug up the turntable info and YES. So I and to flick a switch on the turntable to engage the preamp.. my second miss was that it now becomes an "in-line" function on the Sonos. Once I found both of these my turntable worked (I'm using the sound bar beam and I have two other speakers in other rooms (one smart speakers)). Great sound and sooooo easy to move everything if I choose to.
