A very good budget audio receiver
With vinyl records coming back, I wanted to upgrade my sound system. This receiver, along with some decent 100 watt speakers sure did the trick. I have always been a fan of Sony products, and this did not disappoint. For a system on a budget, I highly recommend it.

Great sound!
Really great sound. Everything from the Rolling Stones to Rossini, it handled it perfectly. I chose this model so I could hook up my turntable. I'm going to hook the B&W's up to it next. Really happy with this receiver. Really happy with Sony!

Good, inexpensive entry level product
I bought this about a month ago to replace a 34 year old (!) Sony Stereo receiver. The old one had AM-FM receiver capability. This one only has FM Receiver built-in, but it sounds a lot cleaner than the older model. This one has fewer output jacks than my older one, but is more than adequate for my setup (Sony Stereo Cassette Deck - going on 20 years now also !), and a bluetooth Audio-Technica Record Player. This model also contains the regular size headphone jack AND a standard audio output jack on the front for older style cassette players, walkman's, etc. Very unusual feature but useful for me as I still use some of that older gear from time to time. I primarily bought and use this product for its bluetooth capability which works excellently. I have my phone, and computer able to play music to it through bluetooth. I realize bluetooth specs don't carry the full frequency range for a lot of audio musical pieces (such as classical music), but for the everyday average pop music it's just fine. This is a great entry level unit for a person who is not an audio-phile. I also bought this because of Sony durability in its products. This thing is built like a brick. Good design accents, solid metal frame, heavy duty components. I will always buy Sony products - good balance between cost, design, and functionality. Couldn't be happier with this product.

Great Stereo (STR DH190)
Purchased this receiver to power a pair of Klipsch Quartet vintage speakers.
This receiver has more than enough power to easily drive my Klipsch speakers to concert levels.
No need for bells and whistles or a subwoofer in my setup.
The receiver delivers all that is needed to listen to great stereo recordings from traditional media sources,

All features worked out great for me.
Needed to find a unit that has numerous inputs using normal jacks. ( no hdmi jacks ) needed to plug in phone/cd/cassette/ equalizer. The 100watt pet channel goes great with my Polk speakers. The blue tooth is great to have also. Like every thing else about the unit.

Wonderful features and amazing sound
This was a gift from my Uncle along with a pair of Polk bookshelf speakers. I've listened to albums via Spotify that I've listened to my whole life and I'm hearing instruments I've never heard before! My Uncle says that's due to the receiver~that it says how amazing it is. I'm super happy with it.

Love the number of jacks!
Being an older guy with old equipment, Reel to Reel decks, phono, etc, I need enough RCA jacks to handle them all. This unit worked perfectly for me. Hard to find a receiver with sufficient jacks.

Great for TV and other inputs and speakers in a smaller room. FM reception is somewhat limited if you live in a rural area some distance from the source. You cannot manually dial in a station number only seek and scan for signal.

Excellent basic Bluetooth and phono receiver
Very simple set up, Bluetooth worked perfectly right away. Using in home office with Elac bookshelf speakers, does exactly what I need it to do, great value. FM section pulls in what I need it to. Remote intuitive, easy to use.

Best Value in all of HiFi (in 2022)!
I've had this Sony stereo receiver for a few days now and it has surprised me in a very good way with performance for the price. I'm comparing this receiver to a Yamaha receiver that costs more than three times as much and the Sony sounds as good, if not better than the Yamaha unit, and both sound very good to my ears (paired with Q-Acoustics speakers). For listening to music in 2022, this receiver has just the features you need: phono input for vinyl enthusiasts (phono inputs have all but disappeared from stereo gear), bluetooth for streaming from phones, tablets and PCs, and above all, great sound quality.

Excellent Receiver
I purchased this STR-DH190 several weeks ago and have been very pleased. It has good sound and all the features for the modern stereo system, including Bluetooth. It is a good value and as far as I can tell beats the competition with similar units.

Great sound and devise
I am very happy with this receiver. Hooked it up to my cd player and speakers and then hooked up to my phone. Very easy process. Sounds great. Well worth the money.
