Great Performer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 98-inch model (2024 QM851G) 3 weeks ago. It was a tough decision to choose between this, the Hisense U8, and the LG C4. At the end, what make choose the QM851G was the size, price and PQ. At 98 inches the sense of immersion is just hard to beat.
However, like all tv's is not perfect. I find the sound to be ok, is powerful but for me it lacks a bit of fidelity and the bass is just flat. Sure, I don't expect this tv to perform sound like a home theater but a good sound bar or AVR is the way to go. However, I found surprisingly good the ATMOS effect coming from the top speakers. Sometimes you see some audio products with the ATMOS logo but they are only gimnick, but with this tv I'm very Impressed.
The QM8 it struggles with upscaling low bitrate or SD content, that's not a concern for me since I watched most of the content in HD and 4K. I enable motion control but only adjust the judder reduction and blur to 3. For me, this creates the most natural and crisp picture across the board. This TV has powerful brightness, excellent contrast, in fact, the screen is so bright that I think TCL should provide a pair of free sunglasses with every purchase (hahaha). I notice just a bit of blooming in some content, also out of the box colors are good but not great. So after setting the TV to movie mode and do a full calibration, the QM8 is a gem. It has excellent black levels (very close to OLED), HDR content in HDR10+ or DV is just beautiful with colors that just pop. The TV has great sharpness and very good dynamic tone mapping. This TV is great for gaming, it has a 120hz refresh rate panel. Playing on my PS5 Pro I cannot complaint of any lag issues. Also the game menu is not as polish as an LG or Samsung but it does the job very well.
Overall, TCL has made a top performer with the QM8, and best of all it rivals some more expensive TV sets with its mini-led technology, size and price point. Finally, I recommend you to take sometime to dial in the colors and you will be rewarded with a breathtaking picture quality that it will bring a big smile in you.

She was my guiding light in this process, providing the direction to thoroughly complete the warranty registration process, making sure I did it right. Great TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a month ago. Great very bright picture and sound. Try to locate where there is minimal glare as screen is quite reflective. Google smart TV operating system easy to set up and navigate. Remote reasonably intutuitive but could be labeled better. All in all very happy with performance and enjoy watching.

TCL Rep - Xian ROCKS!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this TV for 3 months and the family loves it. I brought a New AV Receiver from Sony and have issue’s getting the receiver to play audio. I wan on the phone with the sony rep for 3 hrs. I callled TCL and spoke with Xian, she fixed my issue in 10-15 minutes. Helping my fix my SONY SETTING. She did a great job.

I'm coming from a 2014 Vizio 501d which still works but I finally wanted something bigger and boy am I glad I pulled the trigger on this gem! Not much to comment on quite yet other than size, snappy Google TV. I'm sure as the days and weeks come I'll fall more and more in love with this TV! On a side note...I had one trouble getting it setup but Becca was a true expert who knows her stuff and got me all sorted out:)

So happy we bought this TV!

One thing to consider is that an owner's manual would be invaluable to the consumer. However, we had a problem accessing Apple Airplay, we called the support number, and Tony was very, very helpful, friendly and professional. He was able to solve our problem easily.

Watch tv the right way!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost the pictures don’t do it justice! This TCL tv is better than my Samsung! Picture quality if very crisp and high quality. The display is very clean and honestly just impressed with how it looks. The sound is amazing, unlike most tv’s this TCL doesn’t even need a soundbar! One of my favorite features as minimal as it is, is the remote. The remote while minimalistic is very clean, not so many buttons that causes a clutter, has shortcut buttons to your favorite streaming channels and I love that it’s backlit for those late night tv moments. The Google tv feature is new to me but now it’s a must for my TVs. Very easy to connect and the response time is great. Love the display layout. If I haven’t said it before this is wayyy better than my Samsung and LG TV!

Top quality LED TV at a competitive price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TV offers a lot for its price. Setting up the TV out of the box is very quick and easy. Getting through Google TV setup takes less than 5 minutes and the functionality it offers is great. Connecting to wifi is also very intuitive and simple. The TV also offers very impressive sound quality with its built-in ONKYO speakers - this is particularly surprising since most TVs don’t have great speakers built in. The picture quality is also very good for an LED TV - whether it’s streaming Netflix or playing video games, the quality is top notch.

Easy TV set up with remote
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV was easy to set up, user friendly. The TV stand is a single panel that sits in the middle of the frame. The TV and sound quality are crisp and no static. Setting up the television was very easy as well. From unpacking to login setup it only took 15 minutes. Can't tell the difference with 4k because I do not have a premium upgrade with cable company.

The clearness and smoothness are way better a regular TV of mine. The colors on the screen are incredibly vibrant and bright. We have so much emotional motion watching sports and movies on this TV. The Google TV features and hands-free voice control remote are also a great plus. The sound quality is incredible too! We really don’t need to have an extra audio system. Overall, we're incredibly satisfied and delighted with this TV.

Great Screen and sound - no wonder it's the TV of the NFL!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the easiest TVs I've ever had to unbox and setup! TCL has made the process very simple and can be setup very quickly. I noticed the Onkyo name on the Dolby Atmos speakers and they did not disappoint! This TCL not only has a rich 4k picture with QLED screen but the sound is very immersive!
Most smart TVs have smaller condensed remote controls, but I'm impressed with the feel and size of the remote. it's not too small with lack of buttons.
my only complaint is the on screen setup for Google TV kept getting stuck on network connect setup, but I was able to skip the prompt and the TV connected fine.

Top of the line TCL Television | Strongly Recommend | Great Quaility
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before I go right in and tell you about the TCL Television, let’s talk about this remote control. The remote is very slender, and feels good in the hand. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes with little lines engraved as well. On the very first night, I noticed that once you move it, the keys illuminates. There are six main keys at the bottom that includes Netflix, YouTube, AppleTV, Prime Video, TCL tv, and Pluto TV. Yes, I love that fact, because I have all of those subscriptions. Way to go TCL in the design of the remote.
Now drum roll please 🥁
The moment of truth!!! Before I reviewed this TV, I changed the display to Sports and Movie mode. This television is absolutely bright as well. While watching TV shows, Movies, and Sports I am so drawn in on the show, than ever before. The Blacks hue is black, it’s like each led mini pixel is cut off, to show the truest black. The White is bright, lines, curves, are very clear. Also there is not a delay in the motion. This TV is truly at the top of its class.
One more thing to add, when you are in YouTube and an Ad pops up, a QR code pops up on the TV for you to look more into the Advertisement. (That is a great feature to add)
Now aesthetically this television looks amazing! The base of this television was very easy to attach . And One small detail I absolutely adore, is the premium QD – mini LED tag at the top right of the television. It makes it look like this television is made with luxury products
Some of the features this television has is three HDMI ports (144Hz, 120Hz, and 60Hz), hands-free voice control, ethernet connection, antenna cable in, headphone out, optical digital audio out, Dolby Vision, IQ, Bluetooth, DTS X, and last, but not least IMAX DTS. (Yes my mind is blown away too)
The sound quality is epic as well. It has Dolby Atmos built into the speakers.
Would I recommend this television: Absolutely Yes!!!

Best Smart TV out there that’s user friendly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Smart TV set the bar high for the other named brands out there. I can confidently say it’s better than the Samsung smart tv I have. The picture quality is in 4K and it is crisp. The sound on this TV was the most surprising. It’s loud and has a great bass to it. No need to buy a sound bar because the stock speakers are more than enough. You can connect this TV to your WiFi to access all the features it has to offer. Also, you can connect it to your phone and stream from your phone to the TV. It also has 4 HDMI outlets that you can connect to whatever is compatible. The best smart feature is when you connect it to Alexa or Google home. You can’t turn it on with that but you can definitely use it to turn off. You can also command it to open any app on the tv. The remote is a small basic remote that has shortcuts to the most used apps like Netflix, YouTube, etc. the remote also has a light up LED when you pick up the remote and when you press the buttons. The response time from the remote to the TV is quick unlike some other smart TVs I’ve used.
