I’m a fan!
Putting it together was pretty easy and setup was OK. Cooking with it though is great, great smoke, easy control from panel and phone. Cleaning is a breeze and it just looks great. Had a few cooks now and really enjoying it, would highly recommend.

Amazing grill! Been using Traeger grills for years now and can’t see myself ever using something different. The touch screen and controls are intuitive and easy to use. The build quality is superb, rock solid construction that will hold up for years if properly maintained. If you’re shopping for a new grill, look no further. The Traeger Ironwood is the way to go!

I try to smoke as much as possible
Overall - Yes. Convenient, well built, quality, and expensive. I know feel I have the best of both worlds between my weber kettle and traeger ironwood.
Pros - Sleek design, quality build, easy to move on wheels, thick gauge around lid, easy to assemble, very large would never need anything bigger, easy to navigate controls that are fun to use, easy to connect wifi and probes, smoke and temperature are consistent, Pellets are easy to fill, large storage shelf underneath, easy to clean, super smoke function solves the issue with the underwhelming smoke you get from pellet grills, there is a light that turns on when you open the lid, the app is nice.
Cons - Expensive, Accessories are expensive, pellet smoke is not the same quality as real wood or charcoal. The difference between charcoal and pellets is obvious, but I think the difference with real would would require an experienced enthusiast. The indicator to tell you how low on pellets you are is not accurate. The laser sits right over the hole where the pellets drop and so it always reads lower than what is actually in the hopper, wifi does not have good range, my phone can connect across the street, but the wifi goes in and out sitting in my driveway close to the house. This makes it difficult to monitor through the app as it disconnects frequently. Neighbors will think you are better than them because this model looks so much better than the others.

Significant upgrade from my Traeger Pro 575
Bought the Ironwood XL to replace my Traeger Pro 575 which I bought in 2019 had rusted through. Everything about it is impressive - quality of materials seems to be a significant upgrade. Assembly was pretty straightforward (the video is definitely more helpful than the assembly instructions that came with it) and took about 1.5 to 2 hours (mostly because I just took my time). Grilled some steaks tonight (first-time use), and the smoke flavor was a night-and-day difference from the Pro 575 - so much better. Can’t wait to smoke some brisket and pulled pork later this month.

State Fair special Ironwood XL in Iowa
Just received the Ironwood XL today. Seasoned and ready to go. Assembly was a bit long but that may be the person Bit disappointed in the rotating wheels that both fell out when i lifted grill to move. Would appear they were not properly seated during manufacturing process.

I haven’t done anything on a grill for a few years. My wife has constantly been asking me to grill something. The fact is I disliked the grill I had. After much research I decided to make the purchase of the Ironwood XL. First cook of baby back ribs was today. Tomorrow is brisket. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Easy to use. Love having the app.
It’s so hot I use this to cook everything from breakfast sandwiches to pulled pork. It’s so easy to use. I know nothing about smoking meat and have made delicious pulled pork, ribs, chuck roast, shotgun shells and smoked cream cheese.

I have owned an earlier version of Treager for over 10 years. But the Ironwood XL is amazing I absolutely love this Treager. Everything I have smoked on it to this day has some of the best smoke flavor I have tasted.
