Easy to set up if you follow the instructions included. And definitely update the firmware as instructed.

What is the length when hung?

I think each one strand is a little over 16 ft. I bought 2 sets to go across the front of my house. It should be noted that they can not connect together. I used an extention cord to plug in the second set separate from the other set.
