Models in Vent A Hood's ductless ARS series utilize a multi-phase protection system to offer a solid shield against air pollution in residential kitchens where light cooking sessions are the norm. During its first phase, the ARS captures vapor and steam into the canopy. As vapor and steam enter the interior of the range hood, a specialized extractor uses centrifugal force to extract grease from the incoming streams. After the extractor completes its job in phase two, a large bed of activated carbon removes tiny impurities and debris to complete phase three. During the system's fourth and final phase, an additional microfilter intercepts any minuscule smoke particles that have managed to make it through the canopy entrance, the extractor, and the carbon bed.
