Wireless turntable w/ easy Sonos setup
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with this turntable. The assembly of the turntable was very easy and within 15 minutes I was able to assemble the turntable, connect to the app and connect to the house Sonos system. I did have to connect the ethernet cable between the Sonos router and the turntable which allowed for system update to take place making for easy setup.
The quality of the sound is great and you are able to control the volume locally or via Sonos app. The hunter green color of the turntable adds a bold and modern touch to the sound system and surly draws attention making it a conversational centerpiece.
There is also a dust cover that fits over the important components of the table.
Overall very happy with this turntable and can’t wait to use it next time we have friends over.

Our new Victrola turntable has completely changed the vibe at home. It pairs in seconds with our Sonos (and honestly, any Bluetooth speaker you’ve got) — then the music just flows. Our old turntable was always a struggle.
The design fits perfectly with our mid-century living room, but it’s the sound that really gets me… warm, rich, and full of those little vinyl textures that make you just sink into the moment.
No rush. No stress. Just music, a comfy chair, and the soft crackle of a record.
Sometimes the best way to unwind is to drop the needle and let the day melt away.

Beautiful look and amazing sound

The sound quality is incredible, even after trying it on multiple devices it still sounds great. I love the light blue color that helps it stand out. It’s built very well and I can tell will hold up its great sound for a long time.

Setting it up was a breeze with the Victrola Stream app, and it connected to my Sonos system in seconds. The sound quality is phenomenal, rich, clear, and full of depth thanks to the premium cartridge and aluminum tonearm. I love the sleek, modern design and the illuminated volume knob that lets me control playback directly from the turntable. Love the connection to my Sonos speakers!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Victrola Stream Onyx is a neat device for vinyl enthusiasts like me that want to bridge the gap between the record collection and the Sonos speaker system setup. I like the main selling point which is the ability to stream vinyl albums directly to Sonos speakers via Wi-Fi. I also like that it comes with a bundled cartridge, where the primary factors influencing the audio experience is the Wi-Fi network's strength and the quality of the Sonos speakers. However, there are some trial and error during the initial setup process, whereby the RCA connection is not entirely reliable. Other than that, I think the Stream Onyx is a niche product that fills a specific need group of users that already has the Sonos speaker system setup.

Simple solution
Purchased this yesterday and hooked it up right away. Setup and connection were a breeze. I’m Using the WIFI to connect to my whole house Sonos system. The sound quality is quite good through the average speakers. I really was amazed at how easy it was to setup and haw simple it is to use. Great product. I’ve been looking for this for a long time.

Love it. Would recommend.
I'm obsessed. It sounds so good that I was upset at first because it was as clear as playing through spotify, and I did want more of the record sound/feel. I got that with different records.
Overall, it's gorgeous, has a clear sound, and the autoconnect feature works well with my Sonos system. I'm still figuring out how to easily sync all of the speakers in the house, but I am sure most of that is user error and it typically works well.
Well worth the money

Whole house sound
This set up so easily. Not only is it sleek looking and a beautiful addition to our living room, but connecting it to our whole house Sonos system was a breeze. I have my record playing inside on every in-ceiling speaker, and even outside on the patio under our tiki. This is musical bliss. Great stuff, Victrola! This is a game changer.

Been waiting for something like this!
Have had my Sonos system for s while now and have always wanted to hook up a turntable to it, but just didn't love any of the options that were available, as they felt more like hacks than a full integration with the speakers. The Onyx not only looks sweet, it is a truly wireless solution, so I can put it anywhere in my house (as long as there is a good wifi signal). Now I'm listening to more vinyl than I have in years. It's especially great when we have friends over and want to let people pick records, talk music, and flip through albums.

Victrola doing it right!
This is a great turntable! I would say the quality is right up there with an AT-LP120 with the upgraded stylus. Really a nice touch. So aside from connecting to Sonos, this is a great standalone turntable. Connecting to Sonos has been a breeze and it’s so nice to be able to go inside and outside and still enjoy my stereo. I have a dedicated room for my hi-fi set up, but this is great for entertaining.

Best Sonos turntable on the market!
Love this turntable. Here is why: Easy directions to get set up. I was worried about having install a cartridge, balance the tone arm and getting everything set up correctly. Victrola has thought this through and makes it very easy to set up thanks to a QR code that takes you to an app you download to your smart phone. The app is great and delivers step by step instructions. Then once you get set up, it's pretty easy to get integrated into your Sonos system. My Sonos system is placed throughout the home and it was fun to hear some of my old vinyl that isn't avail on Spotify or iTunes. This is why I purchased the turntable.
While the turntable delivers great sound with my new records, I was super impressed how it handled my older vinyl that has some scratches, warps and pops. Those records played just fine and sounded great despite their age and wear. To me, that is a sign of a good turntable. If you have a record collection that includes several releases that aren't avail on any of the streaming services, then this is a must have. Thank you Victrola!

Wish connection was more seamless but does work!
I love the ability to use Sonos beam/setup with a record player! That was the sole purpose of buying this record player. The WiFi function works decent and the app is just decent also. Sometimes WiFi doesn’t pick up and may have to reset WiFi but to have the sound quality through Sonos is the purpose. Yes it’s expensive but does it work YES. I got lucky bought refurbished so just know that the band is on the console as I almost returned due to missing parts. Overall I am happy with purchase to be able to play vinyl through speakers I already have! Side note I have 700 mbps internet so that also helps!

Good player
The player collects a lot of dusk with the finish. The player works as advertised. The sound to Sonos speakers is seamless.
The app could use some work, you can’t adjust the volume in the app using your side buttons.

Nice product, Size listed is misleading
The record player looks great and connects with Sonos very easily. You will want to use the audio delay mode so that it doesn't skip. Unfortunately I had a custom piece of furniture made to fit the record player based on the measurements for the device listed on the website not knowing those measurements don't include the volume knob. So beware the depth is more like 14 inches.

Amazing turntable for home Sonos system
The Victrola Stream is a fantastic turntable option for homes with Sonos sound systems. It's amazing to be able to spin a record and hear it in every room of the house rather than needing to stay in the one space where the turntable and speaker setup is. I love how sleek and modern the design is!

Victrola app cumbersome in staying sync'd with Sonos
The Victrola App is super cumbersome in syncing with Sonos to show available speaker groups, had to force stop the Victrola App several times before it recognized my Sonos speakers on the second time using my Victrola Stream. Maybe a little buyers remorse here.

A few things that Im disappointed with:
1. When unleashing the tone arm, I have to hold up in place when placing on the record, otherwise it wants to automatically swing back to starting position.
2. Not being able to cover while playing the record, it attracts dust and cat hair that sometimes is in the air.
3. The room my audio equipment is in is 2 rooms away from where the router is. This causes the record to ‘cut out’ for 1-2 seconds often. (Moving the router is not an option so instead Ive temporarily placed my TT in the same room as my router (2 rooms away from where I keep my albums and stereo equipment).
4. There seems to be a ‘slowness’ to playing my albums (at times?).

Massive QC let down
I've now ordered and sent back my Stream Onyx twice. Don't get me wrong, the turntable works and looks great. The unboxing is a joy. Connection to my Sonos is a breeze. But in both cases the foil wrapping has come loose and bubbles near the bottom right of the platter. For a turntable in this league as far as price is concerned, I'd expect quality control at production to have spotted it.
Third time lucky? I'm not chancing it...

Pain in the rear
Not easy to set up. Needle broke already. It doesn’t connect to our Sonos regularly and has to be connected manually. It needs rebooting often.

Not as seamless as advertised. I had to force close the Victrola app several times before it would successfully talk to my Sonos system. Finally got it working. Worked great for a day. And now it's not playing again.

Big pain, not worth it
If you want to mess with the app for 5-10 minutes before the record plays then this is the turntable for you. If you want the record to play immediately don’t buy this one. Relying on WiFi and the Victoria App in order to play a vinyl record is a big pain, not worth. I regret this purchase.
