Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wishing I had waited for the Sub Zero! Bought this Viking to replace an old Sub Zero that after 25 years was beginning to have issues. Big mistake. First of all, this unit is LOUD. When the compressor is on, and it is on almost all the time, the refrigerator emits a low frequency hum that carries throughout the whole apartment. Second, the quality is just not there. The ice maker, for example, fills up so much that every time you pull the tray it spills ice all over the freezer. Small glitch, but annoying at this price point. The drawers and racks inside the fridge feel cheap, unlike the materials used by Sub Zero. I wish I had spent a couple grand on my old Sub Zero rather than waste 12 grand on this. Most of all I wish new Sub Zeroes were available, but they are backordered for at least six months. Working with Viking’s authorized repair techs in Brooklyn to find solutions, but even though they have been responsive, it should not have to come to this on a brand new high end unit.
