Powerful
I recently purchased a second fan after owning the first for over a year. The 3 things I like most. It’s powerful and the speed is easily adjusted by the turn of the dial. It’s easy to clean with the removable shroud. Finally, the low amount of energy it uses. That was the main reason I initially bought it since I use a fan to sleep at night.

So nice!
I bought this a month ago for our bedroom. It cools the room down much faster than our previous box fan, and the room feels cool in all areas. There are no longer hot spots that the fan couldn't cover. I like that with the dial you can really customize the speed of the fan. It has a nice fan noise for those who like/need a white noise when sleeping. Overall, I am very pleased with this fan.

Best Pedestal Fan I've Ever Owned!
I really can't sing the praises of this fan enough! I love sleeping with a fan going, and I've been searching for a few years now to replace the clunky, loud fan I previously owned. I've bought a few models from other manufacturers and returned them because they were equally clunky and loud. This fan, however, is amazing. It is so quiet that I can barely hear it, and so powerful that it keeps the air cool all night long. It's shorter than I realized, but soon proved that good things come in small packages. I will never go back to another fan. This is simply the best!

A Great Air Circulator
I was really hesitant about this purchase as it is different from fans I have had. My son had a small version he’d had for years so he recommended it. Most reviews were really good. It takes a bit of getting used to but I have adjusted and really like it. I aim it high on a wall and the air bounces off. At night I aim it at the ceiling over my bed. I sleep good. This was definitely a good choice for me.

Great fan, but it you’ll have it for the rest of your life. Just the wire kinda sucks it’s long which could be a benefit, but i don’t need it and it looks ugly.

Keeps upstairs cool.

I have a floor model already but I wanted a pedestal one for my bedroom. The variable speed is one of the best features.

Very quiet at medium speeds, sipping a mere 10 watts, pumping out lots of air. Pedestal is perfect height, very stable, unit is lightweight, easy to move. Wish I had this fan 30 years ago. Couldn’t ask for more.

This thing really blows!!!
I’m more than impressed how this fan really blows out air and circulates the cold air in my home! It’s made a huge difference circulating the cool air from my AC and kept my home nice and cool!..truly impressed and happy with my purchase! I would indeed recommend this fan to everyone! It’s the perfect size it may look small and it’s not to big but it definitely packs a punch for its size! Very happy with my purchase!

Bought this for hot Minnesota summers and it hasn't disappointed yet! It's quiet, even on the highest setting, and this fan cools a room faster than any other I've used before. It's lightweight, so can be moved around the house easily. I love it!

It’s a powerful fan for its rather small size.
I purchase this for my mom because she mentioned about this summer’s hot weather. So I chose this air circulator because of its price and value. It spins at 1800 rpm which is very fast. My previous Vornado fan air circulator spun at 1500 rpm which is a high end model at the time. I bought that air circulator in the early 2000s but it can hardly spin now because i lubricated the fan. NEVER lubricate a Vornado air circulator even with a standard fan motor oil.
Back to the story, this fan is powerful but can produce a bit noisy sound at its highest speed. One feature my mom wished on this air circulator is that it would oscillate to produce and even wider angle of breeze as it doesn’t. Otherwise it would be a perfect air circulator for its value.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved from a house where all of the rooms had ceiling fans to a house where only the master and family rooms have them. My teenage son has been complaining since. He was used to sleeping with a fan on. He sleeps on a loft bed so finding a quick fix fan was a task. This pedestal air circulator has been amazing. No more complaints from my son. We moved the fan to the highest level and aimed it upwards, and it's been perfect at reaching him. This fan really moves air, too. It's quiet enough that it's not distracting, and it really helps him sleep better at night. Great quality. Great at it's job. It's been a success in every way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Vornado product even though I have heard so many great comments about these products over the last few years! This fan is relatively quiet in comparison to other fans. This one specifically is energy smart, which is awesome! The fan's speed is adjustable, it's lightweight and compact for such a powerful fan. I love that the dial allows you to change the speed gradually rather than having preset speeds. I have a smaller bedroom so I love that it doesn't take up a ton of room like my old tower fan that I got rid of after getting this one. The low setting is great and still moves the air nicely and the highest setting gives me the perfect white noise to help me fall asleep. Truly, the best fan I have ever used and I cannot recommend it enough.

Worth every penny!!

We have a fan in every bedroom because not only do we use it as a "white noise" but we also like the cooling factor fans bring to the room. This is hands down our favorite fan in the house! It does not rattle at all, and I really like the fact that it is easily portable and can be transported to any room in the house. The Vornado 683DC Air Circulator fan is by far the best fan we own, and we are definitely considering purchasing another one for our family room!
