Good heater!
This heater is just like your furnace.
Set the temperature you want and enjoy. I have bought two more for family and friends. Everyone likes this heater and the remote control that comes with it.

Just right for my space
I bought this to heat a small and sometimes coolish studio space. The area already had old electric wall heaters that could be used when needed, but I was worried about something catching on fire if too close. So I purchased the Vornado. I find that it warms the room quickly to whatever temp I set it at and I can place it in a safe area due to its portability. Probably uses less energy too. Yes, I would recommend.

Highly Efficient and Quiet
I have a relatively large office with a high ceiling and the Velocity 5R very effectively heats the whole room with minimal white noise. I would enthusiastically recommend.

Powerful Portable
Here in Southern California natural gas prices have tripled. Having solar it made sense to use electric heater. After research I decided on the Vornado 5R. It has a small footprint. Does the job heating the room and it’s very portable with a well designed handle. So 5 stars.

Small and powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a powerful small heater! I noticed a huge difference in temperature just 10 minutes after running it compared to a much larger infrared heater. It's got 3 settings for low, high, and a fan. The high and fan settings are equally loud. It sounds the same as a typical fan on low/medium. When you walk past it, it feels like a slight breeze with warm air. It doesn't feel extremely hot coming out but it heats a room very well. As it starts up, the fan blows to adjust to the current room temperature. If you move it, the slightest tilt will cause it to shut off. It's a great safety feature. Turning it off starts a 20 second count down. You can bypass that by lifting it up and it'll automatically shut off. I would prefer to have a raised power button or a larger screen on top. It's a smooth surface and sometimes I have to tap the buttons twice because they're tiny. This isn't a problem on the remote because the buttons are raised. This heater is excellent and well worth using in any room.

It just works
I've bought the Vornado about a month ago. I've just have to turn it on for 10 min-ish and my room is warm. I was please to see that my power bill was not up to the roof :)

Amazing Heater
I don't run my heating system in the winter because I spend most of my time in one room. I purchased the Velocity 5R to heat the room. I have used other heaters to heat the room, but nothing comes close to the efficiency of the Velocity 5R. On high, the room temperature can go up ten degrees in about twenty minutes. In the winter, the room temperature in the morning is around sixty degrees. Before getting out of bed, I use my remote control to turn on the heater. I've never been happier with a heater. And the icing on the cake is it comes with a five-year warranty. I purchased the 3R for my 87-year-old Mom for Christmas. She loves it! You can't go wrong with Vornado products.

Sleek, exterior stays cool, works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vornado Velocity 5R Whole Room Space Heater packs a hot punch in a small enclosure. The piano white finish is tasteful, the capacitative buttons give it a modern look. I appreciate the safety feature of turning off if it gets knocked over. The heater works really well, surprisingly for how minuscule the heater is. The remote is also responsive and delivers a high-end touch to this room space heater.

So much heat!

This small but mighty machine is so quiet but pumps out so much heat in our 12x12 patio room. It takes no more than a few minutes to notice a difference and lasts for hours in well insulated spaces. I highly recommend this for the freeze baby in your life.

Hot Hot HOT!!

Powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This whole room heater from Vornado is small yet powerful! I use it on the bedroom and it didn't take long for it to heat the room. It comes with a remote or you can use the buttons on the heater. Use high or low settings, timer, and set the temperature. Even has a nighttime mode which non essential lights are turned off. The fan blows the warm air out really good. After it reaches the set temperature the fan shuts off but warm air still comes out keeping the temperature steady. Remote can be kept underneath with magnetic storage. Automatically shuts off if air is blocked or if the heater falls over.

Great small heater

One Extremely Powerful,Stylish Compact Room Heater
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Velocity 5R space heater has been the perfect space heater for my home office. With the cost of heating fuel skyrocketing, I needed a heater for those cold New England days when working in my office, the Velocity 5R was the ideal solution. The compact size, only a foot high and about 10 inches wide allows it to sit easily in a corner under my table. I have been surprised at its capability to easily heat my 20 ft by 15 ft attic office. It has two speeds, high puts out a lot of heat fast while low maintains a comfortable temperature for the rest of the day. On low, the fan noise is very quiet. Most of the time I don’t even realize it’s on and when on a call, you can’t hear it in the background. The control panel on the top is simple but has all the controls I need, fan speed, temperature and even a timer. It also comes with a small remote that can control all the settings, so I don’t need to get up every time I want to change a setting. I am very impressed with the safety features, when shutting it off, the fan will run for 20 seconds to ensure the heating elements are cooled. It also has a switch on the bottom so that when the unit is lifted or falls over, it automatically shuts off. The overall design is slick and modern looking, adding to its appeal. Overall, I like everything about the Velocity 5R, size, power, look, features, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a room heater.

Perfect Room Space Heater

This space heater is so perfect because it keeps the room warm without it being too hot. A great feature is that it works, immediately. My husband loves it because he is always cold so we keep it set up in our living room. The fact that it is compact is another great feature.

Amazing for a bedroom!!

I live in a colder climate state where it’s often below freezing during fall/winter and I use this to keep the temperature bearable. It keeps the room nice an warm and oftentimes the exact temperature I set it to. The remote is fantastic for changing settings right from the bed. On low it’s now loud at all to fall asleep to aswell.

Quiet Heating
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really loved this little heater because it puts out a surprising amount of heat quickly and quietly. First, this little heater has a cool to the touch case, perfect with pets and children who just can’t seem to not touch everything. I have our heater in the floor so it has been knocked over by our dogs wrestling, it immediately shuts off when knocked over. Resetting the heater is easy, unplug no plug it back in, it’s that easy. Controls are super easy on the unit and using the little remote. The unit has high, low and fan only mode along with a simple + or - adjustment. I also liked being able to set the timer so the unit isn’t always on. There is a 20 second cool down when you turn the heater off which is different. The heater definitely works best in bedrooms but it helped a lot in my bigger living room as well. The remote says you need a screwdriver initially for setup but actually you just pull a plastic tab and everything is ready. In fan only mode the heater is noisier but not by much, I never actually find it necessary to use just the fan. Additionally, you have a cord storage in the back of the heater for seasonal storage. This is a great little heater that really surprised me at how warm my room got within a half hour.

Perfect addition to my office

Mighty Space Heater for Entire Room

This heater has a wide base to provide stability, an embedded handle and the outer shell stays cool to the touch. The control panel is very easy to read and to use. One of my favorite features is that when you power off, the heater continues to run for 20 seconds as it cools itself which is an amazing safety feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Vornado Velocity 5R Whole Room Space Heater. After looking for a space heater for our spare bedroom I found the Vornado because of the great features. It has a illuminated control panel on top of the unit which gives all the information you need as room temperature and what temperature you set the unit on the time remaining on the timer and what mode the heat is on and you can control all the functions on your remote. Its cool to the touch and has a automatic safety shut off. Works awesome and I don't have to heat the entire house when I'm only using one room. I would highly recommend the Vornado whole room space heater for anyone looking for a safe great looking space heater.

It's great compact size, it heats really well. Only thing that is unfortunate is how many times it turns on and off after it reaches the heat needed or wanted in that specific room. But besides that it does a great job. I love Vornado products.
