While the time it takes to cook might be slightly longer than using gas, I have found that the food looks and tastes exactly the same. Could not be more happy with the results

Only downside is the stand is wobbly. I have to pick it up, with the grill on the stand, to feel safe that it won't come apart

It's small but large enough for our needs. Got great sear marks. Definitely gets hot enough though you really need to avoid opening the grill while cooking as the temp will drop. Can't wait to see how steaks do. This grill is perfect for places that don't allow open flame grills.

I also purchased the stand for the Lumin - which I am not so impressed with. It is not very stable and the grill wobbles on it. I am disappointed in this stand. If I had known it would be unstable I would not have purchased it (the stand).

While I've only had it about a month, it does burgers, sausages and can simultaneously steam vegetables. I also bought the stand, which is plastic, but it seems very sturdy and the grill fits it nicely. I only wish there was a model one step bigger. I'm able to do 4 burgers and a plateful of steamed veggies (or I could do ~8 burgers) so it works for me 99% of the time. I have not tried the smoker feature.

I have always been a charcoal/gas & wood smoker person, so a little skeptical of the electric unit capabilities. I was pleasantly surprised with the results and look forward to more outdoor cooking on my Weber Lumin!

It took me a while to figure out how to work it best, but after grilling something simple, like bratwurst, I got it down & had no further problems - I do realize that you have that piece that controls the temperatures firmly in inorder to get the full heat on it. The stand that I bought for it is another story:I have had problems putting it together from the first day - it is clumsly & hard to work with. I nee help!

It fits very nicely on my apartment balcony using a Cuisinart grill cart. My only complaint is that the controller and cord obstruct a large portion of the area on the right side of the cart table. Overall, I'm very pleased with the grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kochj from What a Grill! I have had my Lumin for sometime now and every time I cook on it I am more impressed. I have grilled almost everything putting the Lumin to the test. I have reversed seared steaks, smoked burgers and ribs. To a making delicious beer brats with great char marks all on the Lumin. I have made bacon and and all different types of veggies for sides and have never had an issue. I barely get any flare ups even with minimal cleaning (1 time a month). What stands out the most are the grill marks I am able to get every time making presentation great for guest. I’m excited to see where Weber takes their knowledge of Electric grills next!

Disappointed at first to part with our old grill which was still in good shape after many many years. But now we have the new Lumin larger one and are so happy that we bought it. No more running out of gas, easier to clean and also like that we can put the cooking grates which are in two parts in the dishwasher. When ever people were over for a BBQ they seemed impressed and are now thinking of replacing theirs. Very happy with the Lumin Grill.

But, if you’re in a situation in which those aren’t options (such as a condo), this is great. It gets to 500+ with no problem. So far, I’ve cooked a couple of chicken breasts, chicken wings, and fajitas (used the griddle plate). All have been excellent. There are a couple of quibbles, though. They’re not problems as much as a wish list. 1. Dual burners for direct/indirect cooking 2. Have the control dial go from 1 to 10 for a little more control. 3. Maybe raise the hood a little to accommodate larger cuts of meat - although, that may reduce the top temperature since there would be more air to heat. Otherwise, it’s great.
