Cooking Grate
Could use a hook to hang the cooking grate on while heating the coals. Otherwise, fantastic!

I will always own a Weber Performer
This is my second Weber performer grill. I love this grill, I had my first one for 16 years, replaced all the components and finally had to get a new one. I’ve done everything from burgers and dogs to brisket, smoked pork, and a thanksgiving turkey. For the price and multiplicity of uses, this grill can’t be beat.

Performer deluxe
My second Performer, this time with gas assist. Cooks beautifully, coals are ready quickly. I’ve cooked multiple entire meals on this grill in the two weeks I’ve had it. Can’t beat a Weber kettle and the Performer model is where it’s at.

Performer is a TOP performer!
What an awesome grill. The features really pack a punch with this grill for it being a kettle. I needed something that was mobile in my back yard and would roll/move easily. The wheels and casters are high quality and up to the task for the weight of the unit. One thing I did not expect was the work surface material and quality. It is heavy gauge powder coated steel so will definitely stand the test of time. It is very beefy overall and well built from every aspect. The charcoal starting system is so trick too... works VERY well, super easy cheat to making charcoal so much more convenient. This is a real winner here, I highly recommend!

Overall it’s great!
Very impressed with the overall build of this performer. I am transitioning back to charcoal from a pellet grill and really wanted a side table. The performer was the best choice for me and the 22” grill size is pretty decent. Plus the amount of accessories available for the 22” is great. We have smoked and grilled quite a few meals on this in the just over a month we have owned it. Only other option that I would love to see is if Weber offered a 26” performer as I would have seriously considered that.

Solid build and great things all in one package. I would recommend this to anyone at anytime for a grilling experience. I wish they made a 26 inch version of the performer.

I have four Webber grills and I enjoy all of them. The gas grill is great for fast cooks and the compact grill is great for a day in the woods or on the boat. But my two performer grills are just right for the home .

New Weber charcoal BBQ
Love it, especially the gas lighting feature. That's all the work out of getting charcoal lite. Also the storage for charcoal is very handy. If you are not impressed with gas cooking, this is the system for you.

Only Weber charcoal grills for me.
I have always used and owned Weber grills. My first marriage we were given a Performer grill, then we purchased another one for the cottage then 25 years later I purchased one and took it with me to the Philippines. I wouldn’t use any other grill.

Charcoal grilling, easier
Gas assist for charcoal lighting makes this grill very attractive. If you never had the time to use a chimnea to light your charcoal then this is the perfect alternative while not having to use a gas grill. No searching for matches, lighter fluid, or additional equipment needed to get your Weber charcoal grill ready for cooking. The charcoal bin is a great feature and holds one bag of charcoal. The grill cover is nice and has one Velcro tab to prevent wind from blowing the cover off. Ideally, it could stand to have three more sets of Velcro as strong winds easily defeat the single Velcro.
Beyond that, you’ve a great Weber kettle that’s easy to operate and provides the predictable performance that the brand is known for.

BEST OF THE BEST
This is my second Performer Deluxe, my first was 18 years old and working great so I gave it to my son-in-law and bought a new one. The grill grate is much heavier but can be used in many more ways which is really cool. The side table is now steel and very sturdy and just looks great. Small design changes make for a fantastic looking grill.The cover is a liter gauge steel but does not affect the grilling process. This is a an incredible grill and would advise to spend a little more and get something that performs well and will last many years.

Time to Repolace
Bought this grill in 2006 and it is time to replace it. I will be buying the same grill. My ignitor went out on my first grill a couple of years ago, but that has been the only real issue. Age has gotten to the point where the ash pot has now rusted and fallen off the grill.
