This beast is HOT!!!
Very happy with my new purchase. I am a repeat Weber Summit owner. Our first lasted for many years, but it was time for a new one. Wow! This beast is HOT! Love the new features. Curious why they moved the side burner to the opposite side, but it’s just a matter of getting used to that. Nice having the rotisserie built in. The pop up motor and storage for the rod on the BBQ is well thought out. The top burner is insane. When they say sear, they mean it! Great for searing steaks, melting cheese on burgers, etc. Would have been nice to have a more affordable Summit model like they used to. Not sure why they went with only one model after the other line (Genesis) below it. I’m sure it would’ve been great, but I just felt this one was built far more substantially, and would last longer. Also coming from a summit series I didn’t want to go to a lower line after using my other one for so many years. I had the six burner series with side burner and I was concerned that only five zones in this one would not be as hot. Boy was I wrong! This is insanely hot. It will take some time for me to get used to how much hotter this one is than my previous one. I’m sure the old one was just as hot when I first bought it, but after so many years, they don’t tend to put out as much heat. The lighted knobs and internal lights are a nice touch. My old model had the plastic lights on the outside on the handle and they constantly suffered corrosion of the battery inside because of poor seals. I feel much more confident that the batteries in this unit, being contained inside the entire handle itself is a much better design. I haven’t used some of the other features in this barbecue. I’m not sure if I actually will, but it’s nice to have them in case I want them.

Upgraded My Grill
What's not to love about my new grill!! All stainless steel, lighting features for grilling in the evening, propane tank monitor at your fingertips, pull out drippings tray, and soft close doors. The infrared sear station, OMG, far better than my old Genesis grill. I also love the ability to take the center grating out and bring the two smaller grates together for a smaller cooking area. Great design Weber!

Phenomenal Grill
Phenomenal Grill, everything cooks even and the upgrades from 10 years ago are great. Extremely happy with everything that this grill can do. The lighting system that is integrated into the handle I love. All stainless steel makes this grill stand of time with the year round weather it will go through since we live on a lake and our winters are harsh. Thank you for continuing to offer such an incredible quality product.

Roast, Broiler Sear, Cooking Crabs on Burner
This FS 38 summit replaced my Summit 670 ( That I still have ) and I like it as much as my 670. The Top-Down Broiler is great, I cook a lot of frozen 2 inch Ribeye steaks and the broiler is great for searing both sides for around a min. then add season to both sides and finish indirect cooking. The grill is easy to control temp. the rotisserie and parts are stored with the grill and easy to find and put away. The smoker box is better than I thought it would be from using the 670 on the side with own burner, this way the 38's you can move it for better smoke where needed. Light inside are nice and work well when needed as well as knob lights. Grill is easy to move if needed I move mine around pool area when cooking ribs and slow roast love the smell while having a drink with friends. OH and wife loves it too, means she dosent have to cook and side burner works great for cooking Maryland Crabs and NC.16/20 shrimp!

New Summit
This is the latest of my many Weber grills. I have had a Summit for more than 15 years and been happy with it. Additionally, I have had Genesis models that have also performed well. However, this grill is a standout! A higher level of build quality and the top sear burner is very useful. Absolutely the best Weber I have had to date!

The most excellent grill in existence
I've had my Summit built in for like 6 months and it's legendary
I have the griddle insert which takes up 4 of 5 burners but in combo with the broiler.. oh man is this great
If you know how to properly season cast iron you're in for a treat
The build quality and the tough look of the hood impressed guests regularly
My concierge was awesome.
Buy it if you can can afford
It's the best

10+ year old Summit
I have a 10+ year old Summit that I probably cook on at least 3x/week. I have never used rotisserie feature but it’s there if I need it. The 10 year warranty is great. Weber has replaced my hood due to corrosion and Aldo burners. Just sent me parts and I installed. Running on propane. I use the side burner to deep fry and to also cook bacon so it doesn’t stink up the house. Love Weber and wouldn’t buy any other brand. You get what you pay for!

Quick to get to temp, easy to hold temp steady
I used my Weber FS38 S Gas Grill to cook ribeyes on Friday night and was pleasantly surprised that there was no "new grill learning curve". I was able to adjust the gas output on the 5 burners to hit 425 and maintain that temperature while I cooked the different cuts to the perfect internal temperature. The grill heated up quickly, especially for it's size.

Worthy successor to my old Weber Summit
Excellent grill. I replaced my 20 year old Summit with the FS38S and while the old grill had a total of 9 burners, the new grill has great new features like built in rotisserie, top sear burner and lighting.

Newly Purchased Summit Grill
The many options to grill/cook meat, fish, chicken e.g. makes this grill the perfect for year round cooking. Well build with high quality & temp control has improved vs my previously purchased Summit grill. Would recommend the Summit gas grill.

New summit grill - consider an older model
The grill has nice upgraded safety features. The gauge of the metal is definitely thinnner than my previous summit from 12 years ago. The lid is a bit heavy and would be nice if it had a counter weight system or hydraulic hinge. The grease collection system was much better on the older system grill. The new summit has a flimsy coat hanger type of wire to hold the grease tin. Horrible design.
The grill grates are still nice and heavy.
The utensils holders are cheap clips compared to the fixed knobs that were on the older grill style.
The new summit isn’t worth 4K.

Summit FS38 Super Fan!!!
This is my second Summit in about 12 years and the improvements are awesome. No complaints with my old grill, just left it with our old house as it was time for a new one. I have used it a 1/2 dozen times this far from burgers, ribs, chicken, and kabobs. All fared great! The large knobs and precise heat control are unmatched. Can’t wait to use the broiler and rotisserie.

Pretty Good Grill Overall
The Summit FS38 cooks pretty good, and overall, the quality is excellent. I originally had preferred the smart version which was unavailable, but was told that if the smart screen failed, I could not grill with it. So I went with the non-smart version. I wish Weber had a smart version with knobs in case the smart screen fails. It moves around pretty good with the casters. I'm glad this one has four wheels, unlike the Searwood, which you have to push around like a wheelbarrow since that only has two wheels. I haven't tried any of the accessories yet, but will do so soon. It has plenty of cooking space for most foods, and I am happy that it came with a rotisserie. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.
