[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3rd one was the charm, finally got the model with the drain pump, but could not reach a Whirlpool service tech, after 4 attempts, to install it, so I did it myself! Fortunately I'm pretty handy and have my own tools or I would still be waiting! Another interesting fact "they no longer come with the standard filter installed, its optional!"

Love it So Far!

It is so nice to have ice always ready and also to have enough ice to fill up a cooler if needed. Amazing Ice Maker

It produces clear ice that doesn't stick together when a drink is poured over it. It produces lots of ice with little effort. This model also has the required pump to remove excess water.

One Year Later and LOVE it!
Had a first floor kitchen remodel and added this next to our beverage cooler as we make a lot of tiki drinks. So we wanted clear, small ice and this is perfect! A bit noisy at times, but having a full bin of clear ice always on hand is just so perfect. You see a noticeable difference in "fizz" when pouring a soda over this ice. Less fizz as there is less air within (breaks down slower) and make for better tasking drinks.
