My old Whirlpool microwave was brand new after purchasing my house in 2018 and lasted 7 years. Not confirmed, but the theory is that the magnetron went out while out of warranty (the old microwave would run but make a loud noise and not heat anymore). So far, this new microwave heats as expected (after a few weeks of use), the controls are easy to use (and are similar to the old microwave), it is quiet while running, and installation was easy considering the old hardware matched the new microwave (the builders did not incorporate the proper venting needed to leverage the rangehood feature when installing the previous microwave and we did not add it. Adding it would add difficulty and time to install).

Realized by mistake that you can heat food while a longer timer is running and when the food is done, the timer comes back to the display. Very nice. Only very minor wish for change would be the beeper. It sounds like something from a very cheap children’s toy.

It should have come in the box but if not go on line to Whirlpool and put in the model number. It is very easy to operate. Just put in a time ( eg. one minute—1:00)and press the arrow! I love this microwave!!!
