But after speaking to my son, he told me the refrigerator was trying to make ice. Since I don't have it hooked up to water, he told me to turn off the ice making switch. I found it and turned it off. Now the refrigerator is very quiet. I hope this one will last as long as my Kenmore did, 16 yrs and counting.

The door also has great storage space. Keeping the outside surface clean from fingerprints is difficult. It recommends using soap and water but I would rather have a spray cleaner, one that would not leave streaks.

I need to know what is the width not depth with a refrigerator of the hinge the door to open it’s going to be against the wall how much I allow from the door to open so it doesn’t hit the wall

The door when open and at a right angle to the fridge is exactly the same width as the fridge, if that’s what you mean. The hinge doesn’t stick out. My door opens to the right so if I had a wall there the door handle would probably meet the wall but I’d have full access to the inside. The same should be true of the freezer door. My door has a tendency to swing out on its own when it’s open so yours might hit the wall. Maybe you can put the hinges on the other side. Other than that I love this fridge.

What is the exact width with the door open to allow for the hinge against the wall?it going into a space against wall gave an extra 2 inches is that enough

the open door width is 29.5". This was a bad choice for me. The door magnet is extremely strong, the freezer draw doesn't glide smoothly, and the compressor started making a loud intermittent vibrating noise after 2 years.
