Outstanding Looking Range Hood
I bought this Stainless Steel Range Hood about 3 weeks ago to replace an older hood and to match the new Stainless Steel Range which we also purchased. They installed it the next day. Installation was very fast and installer was very capable and he even commented on its looks as he had never seen one before. Fit was perfect, looks Outstanding. Better than the previous model. Wife is Extremely happy with it and takes great care in keeping it looking like new. Very glad to have made this purchase and everyone who has seen it have commented on it.

Easy on the eyes, easy to install
Since I didn't have a vent to outside, I was looking for a stylish range hood that had the functions I needed; variable speeds, good lighting. But my first choice was that it as a recirculating hood. The underside of this range hood, has a grease filter, but since I was using it as recirculating hoot, I ordered a set of carbon filters as well form Whirlpools website. What is really unique are the air vents on top of the hood, you don't even see them, they certainly push out a lot air. This Wirlpool range hood met all my needs and if I ever put in a vent to outside, it can easily convert to handle that as well.

Great Ventilation
The hood has great lighting to go along with a quiet yet good fan. All the steam/smoke from our stove top cooking gets sucked right out of our kitchen.

Great range hood
We purchased a new home that did not have duct work to circulate the air over the stove. This is an excellent work-around until we can afford to have the duct work put in. Also, once we do, this hood can still be used once the duct work is in place.

My Wife Loves It !!
The old one: 20 years old, white paint peeling off, one speed, one 75 watt bulb, worked so-so. The new one: beautiful stainless steel, 3 speeds, power to spare, and she can SEE with 2 bright halogen bulbs. She is very happy and is back making my favorite dishes, which makes me happy also.

Easy to replace older hood
After reviewing many different under cabinet hoods, this model has the best cfm rating, is quiet and illuminates range and counters. Very easy to install after removing old hood. Excellent design, quality, and packaging!

Easy install
Bought to replace an old hood. Cabinets had no way to mount at top but this hood has a good bracket system to mount to wall. Has good amount of power for price.

Gets the job done
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have this rangehood for two weeks. The venting seems powerfully at the high setting. The lower speeds are quieter but not as powerfully. The lights are bright but wish they were LED.

Simple and sleek
We have had this for a few weeks now and it works great. This was my husband's first time installing a range hood, and installation was fairly easy with no major problems. The underneath side looks really nice compared to other hoods in the same price range. My only complaints are that the fan can be quite loud on the highest setting, and the halogen lights get really hot. I'm hoping I can replace them with LED bulbs. Overall though, I am satisfied with this purchase.

Ventless???
The product is advertised as a ventless solution but fails to mention the charcoal filter needed is not included.However, once the filter was purchased seperately it's a great product.

I like the different speed options. Very quiet on lowest setting, but can be quite loud on the highest setting. Stainless steel finish really dresses up the kitchen. Satisfied customer.

Really Sucks!
I mean it really sucks the smoke out. This thing is awesome and has a lot of power. The lights are very bright. Only down side is I think it is a little pricey, cost more than an overhead microwave, but other than that... very nice.

Simple and classy!
I bought this with intention of replacing our microwave. Fit perfect, easy install, and looks great. Over all it is a great hood, however it is a bit pricey for what you get.

Shipper problems
Unfortunately, we have not been able to enjoy our range hood. Twice, now, a range hood has been delivered that was damaged in shipment. To P.C Richards & Sons’ credit, they have worked with us to replace the damaged item. However, we are still waiting for the second replacement to be delivered.

Extremly HOT halogen bulbs
This was an upgrade that was installed in our home when it was built 2 years ago. I accidently brushed my left index finger against the glas lamp enclosure, 2nd degree burns was the result...not vey happy. With the advent of terrific LED lighting these days I intend to replace those halogen lamps with LED replacements.

Not a great feature
We bought one in November 2025, and it arrived about three weeks later. When we opened the box, the item was dirty and looked like it had been repaired or returned. We requested a replacement, waited about two more weeks, and the replacement arrived dirty and dented again. We decided to return it and request a refund. Very disappointed with the store.

Under the counter hood
It’s not as nice as the pictures and it’s very cheaply made. The vent air goes straight up on the cabinets instead of away from them. Not happy with this product at all. If anyone is looking to buy this product DON’T very cheap

Specs are Incorrect
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Carefully selected this model and had cabinets designed around the specs provided. Unfortunately ours was wider than the 29 15/16" specified by Whirlpool. Our unit was about 30 1/8" wide. Will not fit the 30" opening specified by the manufacturer. Had to send the electrician away and am now regrouping trying to find a model to fit the dimensions we designed cabinets for. Very disappointed that we were not able to rely on the measurements Whirlpool/KitchenAid provided us. I liked this model because it was not very tall and now I am going to have a hard time finding another unit that will fit the space allocated in the now already completed cabinets. This is my 3rd kitchen reno and I have never had this problem before. Unit appears it could be the specified size if it had been assembled correctly. It doesn't look as though the sides were pushed in fully before being secured. Doesn't solve my problem. If you buy this unit be sure to measure the actual product and not go by the measurements provided by the manufacturer.
