16 cu. ft. Upright Freezer with Frost-Free Defrost
Put a spotlight on your frozen favorites inside this 16 cu. ft. upright freezer with LED interior lighting. Activating Fast Freeze quickly drops the temperature to help lock in freshness and flavor, and the temperature alarm will notify you if your food gets too warm. This upright freezer prevents frost build-up for a hassle-free defrosting experience with frost-free defrost. Plus, you can choose the ideal temperature for whatever frozen foods you're storing with electronic temperature controls, and you can be sure there is plenty of ice on hand with the optional icemaker.

LED Interior Lighting
LED interior lighting is longer-lasting and uses less energy than incandescent lighting. Plus, it casts a bright light on the contents of your refrigerator so food looks as it should.
Optional Ice Maker Kit
Forget the ice trays. With the optional icemaker available on all Amana top-freezer refrigerators, you can enjoy cold, refreshing beverages like smoothies and iced tea.
Fast Freeze
The Fast Freeze Option helps you chill large amounts of food fast at just the push of a button. How it works: This option freezes large amounts of food fast, by driving freezer temps 10 degrees colder than the lowest setting.
Electronic Temperature Control
Convenient, up-front electronic temperature controls let you choose the ideal temperature for whatever frozen foods you're storing.
Additional Features:

A temperature alarm notifies you when the freezer's temperature rises to help you monitor the ideal environment for your frozen foods.
Frost-Free Defrost

PERFECT freezer!
We purchased this freezer a few years ago to hold extra frozen goods for our family of 6. It has been a life-saver having more frozen food storage space. It is designed well and holds a LOT of food. So far we have not experienced any issues and our foods remain frozen. I like the interior design with the door shelves for frozen veggies and the main shelves we store frozen meats. Just perfect for us!

It has a LIGHT!!! WooHoo I can actually now find what I am looking for. I also real;y like being able to lock it as well. At this point the alarm has not gone off that the door has been left open and of course that is a GOOD thing but it is a nice feature to have for that oops moment if it does get left open
