I love the speed adjustment for the fan. No clunky speed settings like some of the others. Simply rotate the knob until you get the speed/sound you want.

Effective Product
Bought this item 2 months ago and have found it to be a fairly priced, good item. Works well, providing us what we needed in replacing an older unit.

low light strobes
The low light mildly stobes. I'm a builder and this has been an issue on all of these units. I'm in awe that nobody has complained about this before. Everything else is fine. The buyers complain about the look of the hood from under it.

Loud and Ugly
Purchased all new Whirlpool Gold Series stainless appliances for our new home. The builder installed this hood. It is advertised as quiet, but exactly the opposite. Very loud when run at full speed. Underside is open & looks terrible in the new kitchen. Plan on removing it and buying something that is better suited.

So ugly it ruins the look of my whole new kitchen
Don't buy it if you care at all how this is going to look in your kitchen.If you carefully look at the pictures, you'll see that the bottom portion of this doesn't come covered. It has two holes towards the back on each side in the internal walls as if something were supposed to be there, but no... there are no accessories to hide this eyesore. Ridiculous design. Anybody under 6 feet can see the bottom unfinished part of this ugly thing and all the grease it's going to gather. I'm so upset the builder put this in my brand new house. It ruined the way my kitchen looks. I wish I could do something about it.
