This hood has great lights! They are bright without being glaring. The fan speeds are great and operate quietly. My old hood was very noisy this is so quiet I want to turn it on and use it!

Good looking!

Perfect
Our Whirlpool - 36" Convertible Under-Cabinet Hood came installed in our home however, it is absolutely beautiful and perfect, don't think we could have made a better choice. Style matches the rest of the home perfectly.

Great Fan
This fan definitely works to suck out the air and food smells. We cook a lot on our stove top and this fan has worked great to eliminate the cooking smells throughout the house.

Stylish Under Cabinet Hood that work great!
I bought this hood 4-months ago and love the styling and most of all I love the exhaust feature and the lights. Ventilation works great and removes cooking odors instantly.

Like the style.
The style fits with my other appliances and works pretty good. Only issue is the noise the unit makes on the highest speed. Not the fan sound, but the whole unit vibrates more than I would expect.

A sore head for tall people
Bought in 2019 in a new home. No repairs during my ownership. Issues: I am 6 foot tall. Hit my head multiple times on the unit. Hard angles and pointed ends. Suggesting the following changes. Change drop from cabinet from 9 inch to 5 inches max. The extension from cabinet is 8 inches change to 4 inch max. Changes corners to rounded. Never use halogen lights. These lights are too hot and can feel the heat beating down on arms. Specifications are suggested for all under cabinet hoods. The hood needs to be out of the way of cooking.

It really sucks!! and needs some parts TLC
I have owned this for 5+ years and still enjoy the volume of air it moves at the sound levels it produces and ease of cleaning the flat filters. I dont love the lack of a dimmer on the lights and really dont like the required cleaning of the blower cage. Now the motor has started squealing and suspect a failing bearing in the motor. Needs some upgrades in the filtering to prevent yearly required de-greasing of the blower. maybe a disposable fiberous filter similar to the snap on charcoal?

Grease trap
Bought new home with this hood. Hood so far after 7 months works fine except there is no grease trap other than the filters, which are cleaned religiously. However, there is still grease that drops from the middle filter onto the stove. Grease accumulates on the motor and drops below. Not a good design. Should have a grease trap installed.

Blower motor went out after light use
This was installed in my new home in 2017. It worked great for a few years. One day I went to use the exhaust fan it it made terrible noise. The motor had gone out. And of course it’s past warranty. A new motor cost almost as much as a replacement hood. So I’ve lived with out an exhaust fan in my kitchen for years and now my microwave has been on the fritz for a couple of years. Whirlpool used to be gold standard of appliances and now they don’t last very long. Disappointed to say the least.

Push button came of within weeks
Push button ejected out and could not fix it back.

Worst push button design
The push buttons you see on front are bad quality. We have chosen this for its high motor power but what is the use if the high speed button ejected every time we push other push buttons?
Looks like they are just glued and every time I push one button, previous selected button ejects out. Could not fix it.

Blower plastic part melted after heavy use
my range hood came with the new house that I have bought about one and half years ago. One day after heavy cooking on the stove for about an hour. And suddenly the blower became very loud. It turned out that blower's plastic fan blades have melted away.
