How is your current lock doing?
Easy to install and easy to setup. Adjusting your door for the deadbolt to slide effortlessly may take several tries and / or a call to a professional. Really though, if you take your time and go step by step, most likely your installation will go without a hitch. PRO TIP: If yourcurrent deadbolt does not glide effortlessly and extend all the way out, you should correct that issue first, before attempting to install the Yale.

Amazing product!
This product has been amazing! We’ve used it for a month now and love it! It has been very accurate. We tested the Auto Unlock system and it has been great. I can lock and unlock my house from anywhere and we also tested that by one of us staying home to make sure it worked. The app is very user friendly!!

Works with YRC226 interconnected lock
I had an existing interconnected lockset, and wanted to keep that arrangement but get a keypad lock and hopefully a smart lock as well. The only model that seemed to meet my needs was the YRC226 interconnected lock, and it is hard to find this lockset as it is not really sold through consumer channels. The YRC model documentation is also really unclear on whether or not the interconnected models have the same network module compatibility as the standalone deadbolt (YRD) models and even the Connected by August compatibility list doesn't include the YRC models. (It would make sense that they work though, as from what I can tell, the interconnected models are the YRD deadbolt paired with an handleset, only the mechanical bits are different to pop open the deadbolt when you turn the handle, but ASSA ABLOY didn't want to confirm for me that network modules were compatible with the YRC models!) I was able to buy a YRC226 lock which came with a Z-Wave module, but I did not install it when installing the lock, and decided to try the Connected by August module instead. I had some hope as the install guide had directions for the Z-Wave, Zigbee, and iM1 modules, so I would have been really shocked if the Connected by August module *didn't* work.The good news is - it works! Remember to remove a battery before installing to avoid possibly shorting out the lock or module. I referred to the lock install directions, and after replacing the battery, while I tried to follow the directions for enabling the network module using the keypad, the "join" option was unavailable, just "forget", so it seems the module set itself up and didn't require any extra steps to enable it on the lock. Setting everything up in the August app was rather easy, the firmware updated quickly, although the bridge setup was annoying as the closest outlet to the door (about 7 feet) still has a rather weak Bluetooth signal and I had to move the bridge around to find the optimum location for it.Adding the lock to HomeKit failed at first, but worked after restarting my iPhone. Setup in the Alexa app was also very easy. I don't use Google Home, so I can't share any experiences with that. I also setup DoorSense while setting up the lock - since my door frame is metal, I mounted it externally, as you can see in my video. Right now auto-unlock isn't something I'll probably get to try, but these are software, not hardware, and the hardware seems to have been really easy to install and configure, and I'm pretty happy with the features that this module unlocked.

Works great!
Works great and was easy to install. When initially pairing wifi hub with the door, it need to be right next to the lock, --within 18 inches. After initial pairing was complete I plugged it I to a nearby socket and it works great.

Makes life easier
Had some issues getting it to connect to everything. Had to call customer service and they had me restart my phone for the app to restart for the connection. Once I did that- it went pretty smoothly. No problems since then

Very reliable and easy to set up.
Works great. Had to get some help connecting it. Main issue was this was the second system we installed. Turned out best way to make it work was to disable first system, do the installation, and then plug first system back in. App then showed both locks.

Love to be able to use the app for 2 doors/ different locks
I have been an August lock owner for several years now and have loved the functionality and ease of use with the simple but awesome August app. This module turned a Yale lock into a secondary August door lock with the same features as the regular August door lock pro. It works great. No issues with connectivity at all. Would highly recommend.

Strange connections but good overall
Getting intermittent disconnect messages, but then it reconnects almost immediately by itself. This has happened on two of these upgrade kits, one that I moved the receiver right next to the lock and still get it (though not as frequently).
The auto-unlock is pretty much useless for me. It would unlock as I pulled into my driveway, before getting close to the garage let alone the lock. And with automatic locking turned on, the door was locked again by the time I was actually parked and wanted to get in the house. I would have thought that the unlock would work with Bluetooth, which would have to be much closer to the door. It also doesn't help that you have to move 200 meters away before it will consider unlocking. Doesn't do much good when you go into the back yard to cut the grass and the door doesn't automatically unlock for you when you are done.
All that being said, having the ability of connectivity on the locks is great. I can use it or not as I choose. Probably the most important part of the review...if I had another door that needed a lock I would buy another one of these.

Works Great. The interface needs reviewing.
It was not clear in the interface that the "Banner" on the "Keychain" was actually a button to press, so took more effort than necessary to get started. It was also unclear how to add new owners. Having said that their support was very good at getting me through these glitches.

Working with minor issues
Bought this to go along with my Yale keypad lock. It was easy to install the Lock but the ease of activation was a bit confusing. Installed and set up but no WiFi instructions. Finally looked up youtube video of WiFi installation/activation and was then able to use it at almost 100% functions. The only issue I have now is that Alexa capabilities are still not working on it. But overall good product once you get past the confusing WiFi setup.

Hi - You cannot use Z-Wave and the Wi-Fi Module. So your lock with Z-Wave will connect to your Z-Wave smart home system for remote access, making the Wi-Fi module unnecessary for you.

Hi - no unfortunately the YRD120 does not work with Yale Smart Modules and thus, this module cannot be added to that model.

Can I operate two deadbolts with just 1 Wifi-bridge? I.e. if I have two deadbolts (front and back door), but want them to use the same codes etc., sync at the same time, can I just use a single "bridge" (i.e. the part that plugs into the wall)?
I don’t think so, a hardware must be inserted in your deadbolt.

Can this be used for Bluetooth connectivity only?
You don’t have to have the Wi-Fi extender for it to work. You just won’t be able to control it while away from your house.
