I thought I was just replacing my recalled backpack… instead I fell completely in love with this color. The Peach/Beekeeper combo is even more gorgeous in person and somehow manages to be sporty, coastal and ridiculously cute all at the same time.
As someone who practically lives on the water — paddleboarding, lake days, coastal adventures and vineyard events for work — this cooler is already coming everywhere with me. And the matching SideKick? GAME CHANGER. No more fumbling through dry bags trying to grab my phone for pictures.
Also, unexpected bonus: apparently it even matches my blonde hair 😂
Absolutely obsessed. YETI knocked this one out of the park.

Yeti M20 backpack cooler
This bag is quite noticeable, but one downside is that the straps aren’t padded well enough. If you’re carrying it heavy with drinks, your shoulder might start to hurt a bit. On the positive side, it has a decent amount of space. The ice lasted about 2 days to 3 days when it was closed but not fully closed, so the ice melted. However, if you leave it closed and folded, the ice will last more days.

Perfect for travel
I got this for Father's day last year. I go fishing to baja twice a year and I take it on the plane as a carry-on. Keeps my fish cold until I get back home. I love it.

My daughter bought me the Purple M20 Backpack for Christmas and I’ve lost count as to how many times I’ve used it. This is my favorite cooler. It is perfect for my sons travel football games. I highly recommend it. I just wish they wouldn’t have stopped selling the drypack that connects to it because I really need it. But overall it’s perfect for me..

Great Backpack/Cooler
I LOVE this backpack! Perfect size for my 5’1 frame! I wanted a cooler I didn’t need help with going to the beach or kayaking. I tried the M30 but too big so returned. I liked it enough though will eventually gift one to my husband for bigger trips. All-in-all both sizes stand up to the YETI brand, being well made and designed. Don’t forget to accessorize! Thin Ice packs, bottle opener and Sidekick fully rounded out the backpack for me!

Best purchase ever!!
I am a bilingual teacher who has come to TX for a project.. meaning I am going to be here for a few years only.
I decided to buy this as every time I go to my hometown I carry food… lots of frozen food.. and needed something that would keep my food frozen for more than 6 hrs.
Because of space.. I do not carry the blue ice cubes anymore.. so I tried to carry my food without them.
My hometown is a warm weather one (104 F).. so please have in mind that the cooler stays for at least 4 hours on this weather.
Then 1.5 hr flight.. then 2 hours driving on an 80-100 degree weather.
My food stays frozen.
I know that the deal is for everything to be cold for more than 12 hrs… but I am sure that if I had a longer trip my food would have arrived more than fine as I take it out still sturdy as an ice cube.
Its very nice that the magnet does not close by itself like the M30 design.. and having the straps for carrying it as a backpack is gold (I live on a 3rd floor without elevator)…yes the smell is awful.. but it will eventually disappear as you use it.
Totally completly worth it!

Worked perfectly, water tight, tough as nails.
I purchased my Hopper M20 for a 3-day canoe trip. It was outstanding. My friend was completely sold on it as well. With very little ice, it kept everything cold for 3 days in the sun. It was perfect for this trip, and would be perfect for any day or multi-day hike, beach trip, adventure, etc. It even fell in the river at one point and zero water got inside. It's also extremely sturdy, which I like, as we do things that would cause most products to rip or get damaged. I found the magnet opening to be very convenient. I never had the other backpack cooler product some are talking about, but was completely impressed by the M20 Hopper.

Keeps frozen items frozen for a minimum of 24hrs
I don't know why there are any negative reviews. Perhaps people don't know how to follow instructions. I bought this to transport my dog's frozen food, halfway across the country. The food remained frozen for the first 36 hrs. After 48 hrs the food was very cold, however not frozen. After refreezing it for a few hours at a hotel freezer, I made it to my destination. Without this cooler, my dog's food would have gone to waste. This was the best investment I have made, in terms of cooler purchases. It is really worth it.

Hands free hauling
Great for the pool, necessary for the beach! Just brought the backpack cooler to Clearwater beach in Florida on a 95 degree summer day. Kept ice all day. Great to put on my back and have hands free to carry my Camino carry all and other beach items. How else are you getting a cooler from your car, through a parking garage, down stairs, across a street, over the blazing hot sand to the water!! I was a little nervous about having the best cooler on the beach amongst 10,000 people so I locked it to my chair so it wouldn’t get snatched.

Smart upgrade
We received this as a replacement item to an yeti hopper 30. At first I was unsure about how to use the magnet when loading, but once I figured that out, the magnet is much better than the zipper which was extremely difficult to open/ close. Also, the magnet will be more lifetime than the zipper, which I am sure yeti had to replace a number of. This bag rocks.

It Floats!
So I debated over this purchase for a while, I wanted a good soft cooler for sailing (less weight) and I finally decided on the backpack. Today I used it for floatzilla, tested to see if it floats, totally full of beer it does!! Tied it off to my raft and it kept my drinks cold and afloat all day. Also kept the saltwater out. Perfect!

Best birthday/Fathers Day gift I ever got
I love this bag. I put a large yeti thin ice on bottom and on top and two small yeti ice on the sides. Inside all that yeti ice I have 6 sodas. On top of it all I have two ziploc bags with water and cooling towels in them. After 1 hour the cooling towels have ice on them and the sodas are cooler than when they were in the fridge. My only complaint is it is slightly heavy, but I have the dry pouch in front and a large bottle sling on each side with 36 oz yeti water bottles. It is the best for an all day wrestling tournament or watching my sons football practice. I love this thing

Excellent Cooler
I got the M20 for Fathers Day 2022. Since then I have used it twice first time for the 4th of July where I packed it with beer , soda, water & Gatorade. Used the frozen pack and some ice from my freezer. Got home late, so didn't unpack till next morning & it still had ice. Second time took to St Petersburg Beach , Fl. filled it beer, water , Gatorade , Sandwiches , & soda's. Put in 2 ice trays from the fridge with No Frozen Pack. 10 hours later, still some ice. Even loaded this 65 year old could still carry it around on my back. Great gift !!

Bought this pack two days ago. Used it to times! Definitely worth the money. It floats great too, tided it to my raft and it worked great. Keeps everything ice cold for a day no problem in high heat 95+.

This is it!
(Explicit) I didn’t know what I was getting into when I bought this thing, but holy crap I am glad I got a hold of this thing. I can just toss a days worth of beer and Dr. Pepper in this thing and send it off into the woods. While hiking I spilt on of my dads Ultra Lights inside of it, he was so sad, and I had no idea how to clean it, but this thing is completely water proof so I just took a garden hose and sprayed this b down. Works really well, and it’s just absolutely amazing.
TLDR: Drink spilt on the inside and all I had to do was spray down the waterproof inside.

Wife Loves This Thing
I loved my R24 but my wife hated it, it’s too heavy for her when it’s full and she has a day at the beach planned with our 4 year old. The solution was a soft cooler. We looked at the backflip and this one…and this one was the clear winner purely based on the ease of getting in and out for her and our daughter. Wife struggled with the zipper on the soft coolers and it wasn’t even an option for our daughter. The magnet is great, both can easily open and shut it to get things out and while it doesn’t keep things as cold for as long as the R24 it is certainly sufficient for the day at the beach with plenty of opening and closing (when it’s pre-chilled properly). The pink color is a hit with them and the sidekick is a great add on for sunscreen, keys, and her phone. It’s a pricey investment but for the ease of use, yeti quality, and usability it’s a great purchase that I think they’ll enjoy for a long time.

Nice addition to the quiver.
Quality and functionality I expect from Yeti. Back pack straps were the main selling point. Used it multiple times on vacation from hauling drinks to the beach and riding my bike to the grocery store to bring back ice cream. The size seems perfect for day adventures.

I have been holding off on getting the “M” line of hopper coolers until Yeti added a way for the cooler to stay open on its own!
Finally a soft cooler that will last as long as their hard coolers.
To the guy that asked about the straps, this thing is a yeti, the straps breaking / wearing out will NOT be an issue. It’s a yeti! They do it right!

Best of both worlds
While I love our Backflip 24, the fear of the zipper failing was always there (even though it never did). No More! No more lubricant either! In my opinion this backpack is the best of both the M30 and the backflip24. The magnetic top DOES stay open on its own as well. The materials are classic yeti and feel indestructible. Will be putting it through it paces, but I’m sure it’ll last for many many years.
