Haven't used it yet but it fits in the freezer nicely.
The ice pack has managed to move into to the beef neighborhood of the freezer without causing a major ruckus with the prime rib roast. Prime rib being notoriously high maintenance and not great at yard work. which really upsets the beef liver across the street.

makes south texas summer alot easier
i have several different sizes of yeti ice. i switch them daily in my 45 that i keep in the back of my tiguan. loaded with water and my lunch for work. i got some smaller ones to put in a small cooler to take with me onto the jobsite too. having cold water in south texas while working construction is a must. and between the cooler, ice packs and jugs it keeps my hydrated and makes life way easier. cant recommend more. i only use the yeti ice packs no frozen water ice. get the ice packs in
sets. so one in in the cooler / lunch box and the other is in the freezer. i use two in my 45 cooler and one in another brands cooler and rotate them daily.

Superior ice pack
Great block, very durable even when dropped. Ice stays colder longer. Tried in regular, non yeti, cooler and it kept it so cold that the cooler sweated. I love my yeti cooler.

Having the one lb, the two lb. & the four lb. Yeti Ice for my yeti cooler is important to my lunch as having the different sized ice packs provides options that I would not otherwise have. They stay colder than the old fashion ice packs. They have the potential to freeze my veggies so I do not put my dipping veggies directly on top of the Yeti Ice. Using straight up ice has led to having a wet sandwich due to its melting, so this is best for a continuous person who wants a happy lunch experience or whatnot. I want to get another four lb. as a backup for when I fail to refreeze my Yeti Ice from the previous day. The four lb. fits perfectly in the bottom of my cooler & the two and one lb. Ices are or are not put in my cooler depending on how much room is left and or how hot the day might be. I eat a chicken salad sandwich with bread and butter pickle slices, fresh dipping veggies with champagne vinaigrette & either grapes or an apple for every day that I work as a landscaper. I’ve had the same lunch for six months or so every work day. The Yeti cooler, the Yeti Ices & the Yeti storage tray have helped me to achieve a healthy lunch routine in style. I love the sleek aspect of my cooler and how when filled with the aforementioned lunch, the tray & up to four Yeti water bottles, no space inside is unused. This Yeti cooler system is the perfect culmination of efficiency, aesthetic & function.
