Screw top, excellent
Top stays on. Really liked the 35oz Rambler Mug with straw and handle but lid sometimes pops off. The 30oz travel mug is the same size (dimension) but solves the lid staying on. I guess it’s 5 oz less because the screw on lid is a little deeper set into the mug. Too bad I can’t get the screw on lid with the straw opening, that would be perfect for me.

Three all around great cups!
I like this cup so much I have bought three. The lid is easy to clean and screws in so there’s no chance for the lid coming out leaving hot liquids all over. I don’t drink hot liquids through a straw so that’s not important.

Love the handle option!
Bought this for my husband's birthday. He has the original 30oz tumblers but really wanted one with a handle. We saw the reviews bummed about the new lid and no straw option. So... he made his own. It's 7/16", start small and work up to it. Drill slowly. There you go!

Love the new handle option
Just purchased for my husband's birthday. He loves it. He has the original 30oz mug but really wanted one with a handle. We saw all the reviews disliking the new lid and no straw lid option. So... he made his own straw hole. :) It is 7/16", start small and move up to that size. Drill slowly. And there you have it!

Perfect if could buy another straw lid that screws
I love the size of this tumbler and the handle. I really like the screw on cap. However, I would love to have the option of purchasing a additional screw on top with a straw that would fit this mug. I know there is a hole in the mag slider but you can only use a narrow straw with it and I like the larger hole stainless straw when using it for soft drinks. (I'm sure your people are working on it but I hope it comes out soon)

Love this design with a silicone straw
I was concerned about it not having a straw option, but I just got some silicone straws, and they work just fine. It’s not leak proof with the straw in it obviously, but it at least gives me the straw when I’m driving, then I can pull out the straw whenever I get to where I’m going and make it leak proof again.

Love this cup and new lid, haven’t had any problems and drink out of it everyday! I don’t like straws, I’ve always used their regular lids and the new lids are great! Now yeti needs more colors

I love the lid!
I love this 30 oz Yeti with a handle - finally! For all those talking about the lid, I Iove the lid - it screws off so it can't just pop off. I use a long plastic straw in all of my Yeti's and open the slider lid to fit it, the ones I buy are the perfect size at Smart and Final 400 pack of colored straws so I don't have to clean the Yeti straw. If I need to put it in a bag with liquid in it, I remove the straw and slide the piece shut. When I need to carry a Yeti hands free, I have the other large Yeti with the Yeti carry bag. I sometimes bring 3 yetis filled with ice to work or on road trips, and the ice stays frozen all day for when I want to refill from the 5 gallon jug or room temp bottles. There is no better mug then Yeti, and I take them everywhere I go. I am just waiting for the right size cooler on wheels - the last new model was a bit too big, and my Yeti life will be complete.

Perfect for coffee
I've waited to purchase this mug since it first appeared, but I focused too much on the one and two star reviews and not enough on the five star reviews. I finally took the plunge and I'm very happy I did. Drinking my first cup of coffee out of it this morning. I have above average size hands and I can fit four fingers comfortably in the handle with my pinkie finger right under the handle, that's plenty big enough for me. The flow of liquid for hot coffee is perfect. The lid works great if properly screwed on, and no lip leakage as more than a few reviews have reported. I'm looking forward to many years of perfect coffee in this perfect mug.

Best traveling coffee junkie mug ever found!
I’ve been a truck driver for more than 20 years and I’ve enjoyed coffee the whole time. I haven’t enjoyed the endless search for the perfect mug. This is the best one I’ve ever found. If I have any complaint, the integral handle only allows for three of my sausage fingers and leaves my pinky lonely and dangling. Whether you are driving and utilizing your right hand or or a passenger utilizing your left hand, the geometry of the screw down lid allows for perfect access with the handle on either side. The sliding magnet will close the lid entirely and keep your coffee hot and removes possibility of spillage. Fits perfectly in cupholders.

Straw opening, handle, finish, etc.
I have just ordered my second one. Love everything about it!! Don’t understand why people say it needs a straw opening. I use a straw with no problems. About a year ago I bought a 1000 box of straws for about $10.00 from a restaurant store that are longer than normal.
Also, love the outside finish, never wears off. Permanent handle is great.

Slider lid is a problem!
The slider lid is a problem. It doesn’t allow liquid to flow out. If you do get it to work it only works until you take the lid off to refill the cup. Also this cup needs a straw! The handle is great for us older adults but the weight of the cup makes it hard to lift when you want a drink.

Great for hot weather !!
I love these cups. I’m a school bus driver and it gets hot here, with no AC on the bus cold drinks are a MUST !! And the 30oz with the handle makes it easy to grab a sip !!

Only tea to spill here is ON this cup.
A month in. Cup works as advertised. I can turn this thing upside down with nuclear hot coffee and not a drop dripped. I don’t often drop my Yetis, but if I do, this one won’t require a roll of paper towels.

Best traveling cup!
I have this cup in offshore blue since it’s release ( I want to say almost a year now) NOT A SINGLE LEAK. Make sure you don’t overfill. It is one of the most enjoyable cups to use for hot teas, hot chocolate, or even icecream! ( my favorites are the 36 oz ramblers for water)
Absolutely love the stronghold lid, and the “locking” mag slide, to add extra reassurance than my drink isn’t going to spill out.
Fits perfectly in cup holders, and having a handle just makes the 30oz a home run

I absolutely love this item. The lid does not leak. I am not sure why the other reviews have leaking lids but I don’t. I have several yeti drinkware and this is my favorite. I really enjoy using it in the car and traveling. I use a flexible straw while driving otherwise I use as designed. Love it!

This works!
This is a great improvement on the magslide lid, which leaks if cup is tipped. I like the instructions glued to the lid-helped me figure out how to use, and to that point, Yeti should actually include a simple brochure on how to use the thumb-pressure activated opening latch, and keep that accessible on their website. For exmple, after 6 months, finally saw that the rubber seal is removable for cleaning, but would not have guessed that. Also, I would recommend Yeti sell the lid and its components, as they can be easily lost, depending on domestic conditions.
