Game Changer !
My husband thought I was nuts for buying this , then he ended using mine for pure convenience. My neighbor calls them " yeti buckets " I love that nickname. We fill em up , work outside all day and never have to keep refilling. It's my favorite summer accessory!

I have 2 half gallon yeti's, Seriously one of the best purchases ive made. Perfect amount of water for all day and keeps cold for a couple days. I just bought a 3rd for a friend because I recommend it that much

Madly in Love With This Thing!
I try to stay pretty hydrated, so I have had so very many water bottles throughout my life, but this is honestly the first water bottle (my son keeps telling me it's not a bottle, it's a jug) that I still get excited about using. Doesn't that sound ridiculous? Getting excited about a water bottle (sorry, jug)?
I hemmed and hawed over this thing because of the size. This is NOT going to fit in your cupholder. People WILL make comments on it if you bring it into a meeting. I have made peace with this and now totally own the fact that it looks like I'm carrying some sort of hybrid kettelbell lantern.
I chose this bottle because of the giant opening. I hated how I couldn't easily clean other water bottles. One of them even had little bits of mold growing inside. This opening is huge! You can easily see and clean the inside. Some people in the comments stated that they had trouble opening it. It isn't the easiest bottle to open, I'll admit, but I'm able to open it by performing a one-arm hug on it and twisting the handle with the other hand.
The magnetic cap! That deserves its own paragraph. I have lost track of how many conversations I've started with "Check out what this water bottle does!" in the past month before unscrewing the cap and flinging it at the lid just to have it snap into place. It's an absolutely brilliant design! The size of the opening that the cap houses is great because it funnels the water into my mouth and not all over my mouth, which happened all of the time with other water bottles.
All I can say is that if you're on the fence about getting this, get off the fence. Get it! If something happened to mine, I wouldn't delay one moment before I ordered another one. Best water bottle (jug), ever!

LEAKY LID-BUT GOOD SERVICE TO CORRECT ISSUE
got the half gallon and experienced leaking from the lid. filled out a warranty claim and they promptly sent me a new lid. no problems since, very easy process to file a claim (took pictures of the lid and the bottom of the bottle to verify the serial number). would recommend to anyone looking for a durable bottle. has fallen multiple times and hasn't broke. 3 month update.

Looks great and functions great!
I love this water bottle! I have it in stainless and it’s really great looking and keeps things cold and fresh for a long time. I’ve had it for a few months now. I was a little nervous because of the reviews about the lid being hard to remove, but it’s honestly not that bad. I do the same thing another reviewer mentioned, where you use the handle as a lever, and it opens right up. And I’m a woman of average strength. Definitely recommend

It’s perfect. Ps.. the lid isn’t hard to remove
Picked one up a week ago. Works perfectly as advertised with hot and cold. The magnetic lit is cool and works well. No disappointments. Yes the lid is kinda hard to get off, but the people who can’t get it off need to hit the gym or something because it’s not that hard. I’m a 130 lb hiker and snowboarder so I’m not a big person. Pro Tip though, turn the handle to the side and use it as a lever to get more leverage. I love this thing it’s the perfect every day water and tea bottle for me.

Hot stays hot & cold stays cold.
I have 2 of the 1/2 gal. jugs and use them everyday. Yes , I drink a gal.everyday. Never leaks & keeps the ice tea cold all day long. If you can't unscrew the top, you don't deserve this great product.

Portable cold water for hot summer days
Some summer days at my job teaching outdoor nature programs, it's 90 degrees or more, and on those days I love having lots of cold water with me (even though it makes the kids jealous). Put some ice cubs in this baby and fill it up and I've got my cold water all day, even if I refill! Love the Alpine Yellow color, which matches my Yeti lunchbox and 26 oz Rambler bottle. I haven't had any issues with drinking out of it or the lid leaking. I love the magnetic docking spot for the cap, and I love the design of the lid because it doesn't have any hard-to-clean mechanisms or straws or whatever. Just a hole/spout with a simple screw cap -- which like I said, is magnetic! And even if I lost it, looks like Yeti (currently) sells replacements. I decorated mine with some vinyl Pikachu stickers, because this jug looks like a little plump Pikachu.

Another Win
As with all of my YETI’s this 1/2 gallon Rambler is top shelf! I ride my scoot allot during the summer and the more cold water, the better. The lid can be tricky, you just need to make sure it is completely seated, maybe a Teflon coating on the threads would help. Either way, I absolutely love it!!

great
bought couple of days ago for camping. filled it out first time today and unbeknownst to me it leaked all over the front seat in my truck. was so dissapointed and was ready to go return especially after reading all the similar review about the very same problem. however hubby put some muscle into it and tighten it beyond what i could ever have and voila! it doesnt leak. so..... grab you significant other and crank that lid tight

Remedy if your Rambler lid leaks
When I change the oil in my truck, I run a small amount of oil around the filter gasket to insure a secure, tight fit. I do the same with water on my Yeti lid gasket when I fill it up. Just run water over the lid before screwing it on. Good to go for the whole day.

I've had this jug for 5 years.
It's been dropped countless times. Has a few dings. I've never had a leaking problem, I've also never lost the lid. There was a couple times it was hard to get the top off,but not regularly. Cold water or tea all day long. I love this thing.

Great Jug So Far
Bought this about a week ago and so far, so good. No leaks, water stays cold all day, and I love the magnetic cap. For everyone saying it’s hard to open, flip the handle down so it’s parallel with the top of the lid then use the handle to rotate. The extra leverage helps a lot.

Solid jug
I take mine to work every day. I haven't had issues with it leaking or being unable to remove lid yet.the duracoat is a bit scratched up but its expected since I work in construction. Only problem I have is the ice sometimes blocks the drinking hole, but over all good jug. 6 months no major problems.

Excellent jug
This jug is the best half gallon jug out there. It holds the ice for about 24 hours and the seals on the cap and around the lid are leak proof. YETI products are worth it, you get what you pay for.

Tight lid
Used this a number of times and I love it. Yes, the lid does get tight. I found if you try one of two things… 1. don’t screw on so tight or 2. Put your arm through the handle and use it as a lever. If you don’t want to use your arm, get clever and use a broom handle or something like that.

The Cap Rules!
The magnetic cap has improved my quality of life tenfold. Even in the hot sun, the ice stays icey all day.
Now I'm going to address the many complaints about not being able to remove the lid..... start lifting weights and come back when you are a real man! This jug is great.

Just like the Gallon Jug
I have seen a lot of people leaving reviews about the lid. I have had my gallon for over a year and though it is difficult trying to open it by hand, it is still a good product. Its a heavy water jug that is very well insulated. With my jug I physically have to put it in a headlock and put my other hand on the handle perpendicular to the jug and then pull towards me which is the easiest way to open. Ever since I got the gallon, that has been how I have needed to open it. Its not a little dinky water bottle. Come on! I got my wife the half gallon recently and she loves it. Yes the reviews are right with it being hard to take off but put some elbow grease into it! Give it a good head lock and pull with the other hand. I like that I have to do this. It iss actually quite fun and satisfying after finishing a gallon of water!

little lube on lid
With just a dab of vegetable oil on my finger, I wipe that finger on the lid where it makes the seal with the jug. Lid needs to be tight to properly seal but then people have trouble taking it off. The vegetable oil (only a single drop) makes a huge difference. It gets washed off and then I do it again the next time I fill it up. There, nothing for y'all to complain about.

Nothing to Complaint About
I have the full gallon and bought this one to use when I don't need the full 128oz. The lid can be tight, but unscrewing the cap to release the pressure helps. I don't have any issues with the liquid gurgling out if I pour from the spout being at the top or side initially to allow air to free flow in. As the contents are used up, I can eventually pour with the spout on the bottom.
