Beautiful sleek and simple design, works beautifully. The black looks great against a black counter. The design is simple and the kettle feels solid. (So many kettles are clunky and ugly! This one is not.) Flip lid is great. I like the illuminated controls so that when the kettle is off you just see a solid black surface, adding to the minimalist look. I recall a comment that the touch controls seemed difficult to use, which I think relates to the fact that you have to leave your finger on the control panel for about a full second for the touch panel to engage to illuminate the controls (or turn it off), but you get a feel for that on the first use, making it thereafter very simple to use. This is one of my best purchases.

Nice replacement for my old kettle

It is a bit heavier than I prefer, but still allows me to pour with precision. I also like that the surface doesn't get extremely hot like other kettles.

The inside is stainless steel which I am happy about. My husband is not very happy that the optimum temperature for him doesnot exist in this kettle.
