Comments about KitchenAid Artisan Series 5 Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer - Contour Silver:
We are big OkState fans so orange is our favorite color. When my husband told me he got me a kitchenaid for our anniversary and that it was orange, I pictured the yellow-orange color I'd seen before. But when I opened the box and saw this one I was pumped! I've already made cornbread, cheesecake and lots of cookies! Looking forward to many years of yumminess!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Beats the old fashioned way
Takes all of the work out of kneading dough or mixing. I use this for a lot of things I make. The benefits far outweigh any negatives. As for cons, the only things I'll say is:- Pouring ingredients in while it's mixing can be a little difficult. There's an attachment they sell that makes this a non-issue but I don't own it yet. - Depending on what you're making, if it's not wet enough or sticky enough - not all of the dry ingredients at the bottom will be mixed in so you just need to help it a little and then it mixes well for the duration.
Gets the Job Done
from Wichita, KS
I purchased the Kitchenaid Aritsan Stand Mixer after much deliberation and interviewing people on both sides of the fence with opinions about stand mixers. I'm glad I purchased it. I have owned it for 3 months and use it about twice a week. I've whipped eggs; mixed cakes, cookies, and meatloaves; and used the dough hook for bread baking. This appliance handled it all. Additionally, I purchased the ice cream maker and had great success with frozen yogurt. I have followed the manufacturers directions for washing the pieces and parts and have not had a problem with any of the pieces and parts.
I have wanted this mixer for a long time and saved gift money to buy it. It is worth the wait and every nickel I spent. It is powerful and makes mixing so easy. It is easy to use and to clean. I just love it.
Bowl locking into base
from Campbell, NY
I got this for Christmas and after using it a handful of times, the bowl started jumping out of the base. I have to hold it down and have someone else turn it on to use it.

The Very Best!
from Las Vegas
The only complaint I have is I wish I would have gotten one sooner!
I bought my kitchen aid mostly because I have to make and bake most of my cakes, pizzas, muffins, breads, and more. I have a daughter that is celiac and I needed something very strong and efficient to stand all th mixing. After researching and asking family members that had Ktichen aid for decades I had no doubt in my mind. It was the best decision I have done about a mixer. It blends everything perfectly well specially when you talking about mixing gluten free foods all the time. It is fast, strong, and beautiful! I am very satisfied with my choice.

My first stand mixer
I haven't had it that long so it is hard to give it more than an ok review. So far, I love it. I have room for it on my countertop, which I think will encourage me to use it more often.

Very happy with my mixer and love how smooth it runs. Then we bought a KItchen Aid dish washer but it has a 4 1/2 week wait to receive. So I wait and I'm still doing the dishes. Will be a happy girl in 3 more weeks.
