I'm writing this review to counter all of the negative reviews given. I purchased these pedestals the summer of 2020. Due to COVID they were delivered and installed in April 2021.
I loved them! The color was magnificent and they gave me the laundromat feel. In the 3 years that I have used them, I have never had a problem. They are extra roomy, allowing me to put large bottles of laundry supplies in them. For someone with limited space, this was excellent!

Tall Stand for Tall Dad
This stand is perfect and raises both my washer and dryer 16 inches higher so I don't have to bend down to uncomfortable levels on my back and knees. I'm 6'3 and the stand is perfect for me and my wife. It also stores all the large bottles of softener, detergent and bleach. Upgrade your unit to enjoy the most out of.

Missing parts
Just got new washer and dryer….sapphire blue. We ordered the pedestals. One had the brackets but one didn’t. The store we purchased from said there is nothing they can do. How can I get the installation brackets sent to me?

Missing dividers

Good height, missing part, feed cheap for price
These are expensive, but feel cheaply made. I nicer feeling roll our and perhaps a soft / dampened close would be nice. Also like the other reviewer, mine is also missing the divider.

Pedestals need some improvement
My Kenmore washer and dryer had a pedestal also, but it had a wonderful feature, a drawer with a shelf containing a compartment. The shelf made it easy to put the clothes basket closer to the door of the washer and/or dryer. Less bending over. This shelf needs be be brought back. (Too late for me unfortunately) I also had a choice of moving the divider to 3 different spots, this is also very convenient for different sized items to be stored beneath. I am assuming the hard pull to open the drawer is done so that small children will not open it, but can be a bit hard to pull for people my age in a small space. I have to be directly in front to pull it open.
Final comment, bring back the shelf for the clothes basket, no sense having it on a pedestal if I still have to bend down to the floor to get things out of it.

A small package fell behind pedestal drawer and cannot get to it. Drawer impossible to remove.

Beware, Drawers Carry Little Weight!
The pedestal is largely ornamental. The drawers carry the weight of towels, and other light loads. However, do not dare to put laundry detergent or other heavier normal laundry supply items in them. The drawer slides cannot carry the weight, and the ball bearings release, making the drawer useless. The drawer function should carry a warning, or sticker on the weight capacity.
Are there higher rated slides available for this drawer?

Really Poor Quality Drawer Slides
We bought two pedestals, one for the washer, one for the dryer. I am only giving this 2 stars because the dryer drawer slides still work. The drawers on these pedestals need a higher weight capacity. The drawer slide on the washer pedestal lost it's ball bearings after 2 or 3 times of being opened. The drawer wasn't nearly at capacity but failed. Very difficult to find a replacement slide. The original slides (Segos) are manufactured in Korea and the website to order a replacement is garbage.

Too tall, and drawer bottom is flimsy
We recently bought a pair of these pedestals to go with our new washer and dryer pair. There are two problems with them. First is simply that they are too tall by about 3 inches, meaning that the washer and dry when placed on top of the pedestals won't fit under a standard upper cabinet. In fairness, I was told about this by the seller before I bought them and I just moved the cabinets higher on the wall. But that may not be practical in most situations. I suppose the pedestals are as high as they are to accommodate large containers of detergent, etc, but that brings up the problem. The rated capacity of the drawers is 50lb, but a 15lb box of Tide detergent is heavy enough to cause the bottom of the drawer to sag enough that it scrapes LOUDLY on the bottom frame of the cabinet. It is very annoying - I can't imagine that these things made it through GE's product testing regime.

Expensive...missing divider and wouldn't support
I had hell trying to get my missing dryer pedastal divider. I was told I had to register washer/dryer first to get it addressed. I did that, only to be told I ALSO had to register my pedastals. A month later, lots of emails and calls I still don't have a divider for this over priced box!

Cheaply Made, Flimsy, No Replacement Parts
We purchased a set of these when we purchased our new washer and dryer. Once of the drawers was broken when the installers set them up. They ordered a whole new unit and replaced the drawer. About 2 months ago, the other one broke. I attempted to fix the drawer front, but it is made so cheaply that their is barely anything for the screw to hold on to. Really poor design of holding the front face to the drawer.

Can’t hold detergent
Let me say first that I love, love the GFW650SPN washer and dryer that go with this pedestal. Great products. Not so much here though. I noticed within a few months that the drawer was getting harder and harder to open — that is, it would open 80 percent of the way, then 70, then 60, etc. until it will now only open about 20 percent of the way, just enough to squeeze in a scent booster bottle. Called a repairman. He said the floor of the drawer had collapsed. It had a medium bottle of detergent, two boxes of Borax, and a container of Gain Fireworks — not *nearly* enough to fill the drawer. I’ve had it for about two years. I don’t open it often, as this is my drawer for spare products. Very disappointed to not be able to store laundry products in a laundry storage drawer.

EXTREMELY POOR QUALITY!!
The cover on the dryer drawer broke off in less than one month. The metal also bends easily and doesn’t seem to hold the weight of the appliance. Not to mention I had to return a drawer because it came bent up and they would not simply exchange it. I had to wait two weeks for a refund and had to reorder it. I would not recommend. For this price and the low quality, I would have much rather went with a different pedestal option. Unfortunately, I had one pedestal installed and was stuck getting the other.

Terrible pedestal design
We are on pedestal #2 for the dryer. First one had ball bearings rolling around in the drawer; 2nd one I can see why. How can GE charge money for such a flawed design where: a) you cant pull the draw out all the way without the ball bearings falling out, and b) a design where any weight in the draw causes it to sag...

Missing Brackets and Hardware
I was so excited to use this pedestal with my new GE Washer and Dryer. I ordered two. One of them is perfect, but the other one is missing the brackets and hardware, so we can't mount the machine to it. So disappointed! And now the store where I purchased it from won't pick it up for a return, or even provide me with the necessary brackets and hardware. Ridiculous!

Pedestal is Crap
I've had issues with the pedestal since it was delivered with my washer and dryer set. It always seemed to be stuck towards the middle and I'd have to give it a good hard yank in order to pull it completely open. When I actually filled it up with products, silly me, I thought that was what it was used for, it got worse. Now little silver beads are popping off on the left side whenever I try to open the drawer. I am going to guess that's not a good a good sign. I love GE and have replaced all our dishwasher, microwave, stove, and washer/dryer set with brand new GE products. We will be replacing our fridge soon as well, but these were a total bust, and will be deemed useless soon. Apparently, GE knew it was crap so it's not covered in warranty. They'd lose a lot of money replacing all these if it were.
