Avanti washer for basement
This washer is amazing. Not exactly what I'm used to. Because my washer is for the basement which means its a small space. I had to trust my saleman, and he was right. He said i would love it and I do. If you need a basement washer, try the Avanti.

Avanti washer
I had limited choices due to the size of the opening in my room, so this washer was my only choice. No bells or whistles, but that was not important to me. So far, very happy with the machine. It actually fits more than my old machine!

Dear P.C. Richard & Son,
I am very pleased with my new washing machine, it hums to me when I'm washing clothes. It is very quiet sometimes I have to look into the lid, yes the lid is glass and I love it! (look into the lid to see if its on) I had to purchase a new one because the old one stopped spinning I am so happy that I came into PC Richard and the salesman Hector assisted me with the purchase. Since then I have been washing clothes and I decided to make myself a coin bank every time I use the "Avanti". This machine is my superhero.... thank you PC Richard & Son...

Nice size washer but wacky controls need fixing
I really wanted to like this new washer but it has turned out to disappoint.
Pros - Very large drum that can fit a ton of clothes.
Cons - Controls are all screwy and un-thought out. For example, water levels are low, medium and high. Under Normal Wash (water level high), the water level lever goes beyond medium. Under delicate or quick wash, there is no option for the water level to go beyond low or medium. There is a "drain and spin" button. Press that and the tub fills fully with water and drains (3 times) before spin even begins (there is no option mid wash to just complete the wash by skipping to drain and spin..you'll need to wait and hour or two until the cycle completes, unlike previous models). The middle agitator works well on low to medium water levels but when the water level is high, the agitator is way too thin and doesn't rotate enough where then clothes on the middle to outside of the drum do not get agitated in the water.. Those clothes barely move and likewise do not work its way to the middle. Those clothes just kind of sit there and get wet and thats it.
So overall, i do think as a new model avanti, there are some kinks to work out in the water programming and i do regret not purchasing instead the similar 3.0 cu portable washer from Black and decker, RCA or even Avanti.

It does the laundry but is highly vulnerable to anything such as a thick bath towel or sweatshirt that can unbalance the load and causes the tub to lurch side to side triggering a sensor that shuts off the spin. It seems that the tub could use more support for the spin function which can be problematic. We have had to pause the cycle and remove wet items to get the machine to spin out the rest of the load. The machine can't handle loads that were no problem for our old machine which was no bigger than this one. We had a service technician visit the house and he told us that we have to be careful what items we wash together (avoiding having heavy and light items in the same load) and that we have to limit how much we put into each load. It also takes longer to do a load of laundry than our old machine did; some of the available cycles are 1 to 2 hours long. We didn't have too many options when we were making this purchase because of a narrow basement stairway that most machines are too large to fit through. We could have bought the Speed Queen but it would have cost more than twice what we paid for this machine but, in hindsight, it may have been the better choice.

Crappy Avanti washer
I don't love this thing. Nope. I have an issue with access to my basement and this thing fit down the stairs. It is inefficient, runs for a ridiculous amount of time, and even after a 78-minute wash I often have to have it wash again, as everything in there is still full of soap. Nope...me no like. Sadly, my old Fisher and Paykel bit the dust after 19 years. This thing stinks. Can't wait to see the electric bill....

I'm looking to purchase a washing machine but want one that is not too big or little and something that can wash blankets and comforters. I want a washing machine with a big stainless steel tub. What do you suggest?
The Avanti washing machine is one I recommend. It’s a convenient small model, but has a large capacity for washing so many types of clothing. Large for comforters and blankets, I was my pillows and throw blankets my beach size towels all six plus regular towels and facecloths. I purchased in July 2022 and I am very happy with this Avanti from PC Richards. I recommend this product. I give it 100 percent.
